Well, I suppose it could be worse. Better a conservative majority than conservatives that have to pander to the likes of DUP.

Re: Share your favorite Star Wars memories

The original Battlefront 3 being the classic example of that: cancelled at 80%+ progress because Lucasarts didn't want to commit to the marketing budget. Sent the studio developing it into administration.

Re: Share your favorite Star Wars memories

More likely due to the issues with Lucasarts. They were spending most of that time working on forgettable tie-ins, 1313 (ultimately cancelled) and non-SW projects like the monkey island remake.

The title at least is official, though I'm not sure it really means anything on it's own.

Re: videojuegos

Some of the quests have broken triggers, and in a few cases specific buildings won't be buildable in a city for no apparent reason, but that's all I've seen. It doesn't CTD or anything like that, and it runs considerably better then Civ V, possibly because the useless 3d backgrounds for the leaders ...

Re: videojuegos

Rather disappointing to see complete focus on the western front, though. Gallipoli and the ME campaigns come up every so often, but somebody without a major interest in history could be forgiven for not knowing there even was an eastern front.

It's 2:30am, referendum results are due in five or six hours. This isn't even likely to affect me either way, but I know I'm not going to be able to sleep until then.

hmm i think the sledgehammer games company is a new one the two i had heard of before are treyarch and infinitely bored. They co-developed one of the earlier games (MW3) but this is their first on their own. It's headed by the guys that did the original dead space, which might mean there's a little...

Re: videojuegos

I know great FPSs exist, so isn't it just a matter of importing aliens? That's basically what they tried, and was one of the main issues; large parts of the game were just generic corridor shooutouts with humans. The aliens (particularly their AI) really suffered for the resulting lack of focus, en...

Yes, on both sides. That's what happens when you have a dispute that's fundamentally over nationality, the most extreme nationalists pop out of the woodwork.

In terms of local multiplayer on modern consoles, it's pretty much Wii U or nothing. If you're able to bring your friends over and play with one copy, that's a couple of £60 games sold less for activision/EA/whatever. Can't have that.

Re: videojuegos

In theory it could, effectively using the game discs solely as a DRM measure. Sony statements so far have amounted to 'Gaikai will let you play ps3 games on ps4' and ended there, so trying to say if they will or not is pretty much reading tea leaves. Not doing it allows for potentially greater profi...

PS4 was going to be able to play ps3 games through the Gaikai streaming service, but a while back Sony just stopped talking about it, and nobody knows what the status of it is.
