Re: Picard Season 3
There would certainly have been novelty value if it was current 90+ Shatner doing it certainly.

Re: Picard Season 3
okay i will vent about this anywhere. even with no one to listen just screaming into the void The finale made me sour on the whole thing. Basically getting the TNG crew together is the entirety of the first eight episodes. the last two are them jacking each other off and playing millenium falcon to ...

Picard Season 3
They gave up and just did a season of TNG Reunion.
The main thing with picard/Beverly is ridiculous.
BUT
The nostalgia for the old cast is real and they are trying hard to sell the hell out of it so it's kinda okay.

Re: I saw a truly touching movie today
Hailee Steinfeld already did great things like True Grit.
Glad Bumblebee's good though. TBH I probably won't see it until it hits TV/Netflix.

Re: HAN SOLO MORE LIKE SOLO HANDJOB HA HA HA HA
Huh. I just saw it with the family, not my idea. It's fine. Moves quickly, lots of action. The characterisation is a bit dodgy and heavy handed but it was fine to watch. Though one character's return was a total WTF moment. And it felt like the entirely film was building up to a 'Han shot first' gag...

Re: Downfall Of An Empire (Channel Awesome).
There is a summary link from the big google doc. Here Basically, Channel Awesome is a website that hosts a lot of reviews of a lot of different people but mainly that of Douglas Walker's Nostalgia Critic. Reviews here meaning shouting and overacting rage about things badness. (at least in Walker's c...

Re: The Last Jedi (spoilers)
The Last Jedi was... okay. Mostly it was uninteresting and boring. I'd read spoilers before hand which is a double edged sword, I wasn't as pissed by some of the stupidity but I wasn't blown away by any twists and lack of revelations as either. The final scenes actually make up a lot of ground in th...

So my friend destroyed his contact lens.
This means rather than taking a train down to visit him, and then he drives us. I'm going to have to drive down. When I've barely driven to the next town over before.
I'm so getting lost.

Re: Testing Episode IV: A New Lament
Join the club. Dreams like this are very common and super freaky. Well, I'd like it to stop. I have enough stress and anxiety in my life without my sub-conscious looking for ways to add to it. I sympathise. It sounds rough. With a layman's knowledge of psychology though, aren't dream basically us p...

Re: Trek Thread
Re-watched Beyond at last. Still really enjoyed it. There's some wasted potential with Elba/Kral but a rewatch bonus made some of his dialogue (where he talks about the different world he was born into) quite interesting. I like the warp effect for the Enterprise. I was amused at the bees analogy. I...

Re: Trek Thread
Also, speaking about DS9, the crowdfunding for the doco What We Left Behind is nearly into its final week. It has one stretch goal remaining that looks very interesting and they kept a lid on it until a few days ago - select scenes remastered into HD including working with Doug Drexler to HDify som...

Flame away guys but I watched STID today for the second time today and.... it's alright. It's one of those movies that once you know all the stupid things that are coming and how they're doing them you can accept it more. It... tried. It tried to give Kirk a bit of an arc and it did some nice charac...

Re: Trek Thread
Hmm. I am tempted by that igg.
Suddenly so sad we never got any Ds9 movies...
But then it would be hard to continue after What You Leave Behind and make it accessible to the new comers. They could have copied B5 again and made film set during the series and run the continuity snarls it would create.

At a guess upper level of the main pod just below Ops. I think you can see the big ovular windows on the top level of the promenade set on the exterior model.
ETa: does he explain the reason behind the pylons going in (constraining the size of ships than can dock) rather than out?
