Re: videojuegos
My XBox 360 just disconnected from the internet and when I tried to connect, then reset it, signing into the Xbox accounts seemed to take far too long. At first I assumed my archaic cream coloured 360 was dying (but no red ring of death). Apparently Xbox Live is down nationwide, if not worldwide, wi...

Re: Testing Episode IV: A New Lament
Yes, feeling crap is partially the body's mechanism warning you about your ailment and make you rest more, helping immune response and recovery, but it still sucks.

Re: SLAM
Having been in the real world and read lots of books, I find the worser talk forums to be hubs of delusion and intellectual wanking (with some insight and facts amid the garbage).

Re: Testing Episode IV: A New Lament
Oh sorry, I'm bit calmer now and explain myself - I was taking the bus home from the bus station at the City of Bath, but my brain was on auto pilot after a long afternoon/evening (exacerbated by a cold) and I got on the wrong damn bus! Threw my evening out of whack.

Re: Testing Episode IV: A New Lament
Yep. Once in a lifetime opportunity and the Scots decided 'nope' The people in "No" camp were generally older, with higher paid jobs and private property. I prefer a Federal system and don't like moribund Westminster at the moment, but Salmon seemed to have had an unrealistic "we'll ...

We checked up the Windows firewall, but the Norton system set up its own firewall (and doing a rubbish job of it). I could likely decontaminate my Chrome if I uninstall and reinstall it, but I feel I'm hopelessly trapped with the bugged to buggery, crash happy Explorer 11.

Re: Testing Episode IV: A New Lament
Despite quibbles with the EU and such, apart with some self important vocal loony blowhards online (or the odd particularly boorish tabloid journalists) that I hear surfacing during the WWI remembrance (or football), I must say that I'm glad that the Western European countries are not inflicted with...

Re: Testing Episode IV: A New Lament
Reading the thread properly I'd say that Thanas is still talking crap, even though the British Empire wasn't really a force of fairness and progress either (ie the Czechs, Poles, and peasants on Prussian Junker estates faced similar treatment to Irish peasants, and colonial Germany was only "be...

Ugh, trust Thanas (or Failnus) to shit up a WWI remembrance thread, even though it was not entirely the Second Reich's fault.

Re: Testing Episode IV: A New Lament
As somebody from Downunder, did you hear anything bad about old Rolfie? I've read somewhere that he had hypocritical, bigoted attitudes towards the marginalised Aborigenes. What's with all the gushing over the movie, Boyhood , now? I'm not going to watch it because I don't want to be reminded of how...

Re: Testing Episode IV: A New Lament
Either way (psycho papa Joe Jackson supposedly lurked over Michael Jackson on some nights wielding a knife) Michael Jackson did not have a balanced upbringing and no proper childhood like the also broken Corey Feldman (and too many others), but I'm digressing.

Re: Testing Episode IV: A New Lament
Well washed up former child star, Corey Feldman, makes more bold and inflammatory claims than I do:
http://youtube.com/watch?v=roW238dfUUk
The way Michael Jackson was also a huge star as small child and then grew up into a total weirdo (abused turned abuser?) makes you think.

Re: Testing Episode IV: A New Lament
Paedophilia is one plausible major factor why so many North American child stars from the 70s, 80s, and early 90s became so messed up as older teens/young adults.

I fucking hate the current (well, the last, actually) crop of games consoles there was a time when you could just pop a disc in the thing and two minutes later you'd be playing, but noo I've just had to spend half an hour installing three different system updates for fuck's sake That happened occas...

Re: Testing Chat Episode VI: Return of the Chat
Yes I am aware that is not actually what happened and the Rome persisted for centuries both in the west and the east By the 7th century AD wasn't the Roman Empire pretty much a busted flush as a real super power and more like a large regional power that stubbornly held on until the 15th century? Bu...

I'm genuinely curious to see if they're gonna go with the wife-beating stuff. i can basically guarantee the answer is no they didn't even make an issue of iron man's alcoholism, they're not going to have a superhero who abuses his spouse True, they did kind of half-arse it with the Iron Mang films....
