Wow. I used to be at Edinger and Harbor, then at Ward and Slater. I had you bracketed. We probably hang out at a lot of the same places.

Well it's nice that someone still does, because I sure as hell don't anymore. I know at least 5 people in the same exact position in life. It's nothing personal. It's not failure. It's just the result of decades of modern economics. If you still have friends and family who help you out and enjoy ha...

Because I'm going to be on Kalmus, and that's on the wrong side of the 405. I'll take the five once I get there, but the horrible stretch of the 55 is between the 405 and the 5. What about Red Hill? It shadows the freeway for a while. Or you can take Euclid north to the 22, and take that to the 55....

I was abused as a child and I turned out ok Anyone who complains about child abuse is thus a whiner That's not exactly my point. After all, I'm not having my son circumcised. I don't support the procedure in general. My point is that thread really makes me want cut some foreskins just to piss them ...

Honestly, I had a lot more pain and lasting traumatic effects from my orthodontistry than from my circumcision. That was a pretty invasive procedure meant to help me fit into my local culture. And without consent! The monsters! Barbarians! I keep hearing about all the negative side-effects of circum...

Is Scott not making two more movies to follow Prometheus? Maybe not if this film bombs like it should. Also, can you call a film a success if it can't stand on its own? It might take two sequels just to make sense of this mess. And for the old "you're judging it harshly because it's an Alien p...

Questor, why is it that this movie appears to be so hit or miss? Of the people I know who have seen it, nobody liked it more than "it wasn't a waste of time" and one person thought it was the worst movie he had ever seen. Although I don't know any truly dedicated sci fi fans that have see...

For a lot of SW fans, myself included, the special edition re-release was the first time they saw SW on the big screen. They made a powerful impression Yep. I was 18 at the time. If Bob Gunslinger is reading this he might get a kick. The Borders Bookstore I used to work at here in town was one of the last to close, and to my initial delight a new bookstore moved into the building. I think I've seen some pictures from this Crown Books. It was RSM, right? (Or maybe I'm thinki...

Then of course you have your people that won't be happy no matter what. Especially when you come to one of America's smallest accredited zoos on a Tuesday afternoon after 2:00pm because its half price admission and expect fucking San Diego with every animal on the planet. no you ain't, it's good chatting and being chill and shit anyways, LOTR is catholic not because of direct correlations so much as the worldview. the characters that resist the ring successfully (sam, faramir) are also the most sexual male characters (and faramir hooks up with the most sexual female...

Oh yeah and waking up once or twice a night just to make sure your son's still breathing, because he's sleeping so quietly and you just had a dream he was in trouble...well it's worth it. Probably a pretty normal fear for parents. That still happens to me a lot, but for the first few months I could...

Hey Aaron, have you seen the new Defiance Games marines or the Wargames Factory WW2 infantry? I remember you were looking for some cheap models, and they're cheaper than Mantic with pretty decent quality.

Nope, I don't feel too much sympathy for broomie, even though we share a hobby. The time she called me a felching something something may have a bit to do for my dislike of her. But more than that, she's proven unwilling to relocate to improve her situation. That's irrational. I guess she has emoti...
