per hour, yes, but not per person (partly because the french work so few hours and there's a natural diminishing returns thing to that) and even then i think that right now only norway and singapore actually top america and being an oil-rich single-culture nation and modern totally urbanized city-st...

americans are statistically the most productive (per person, not per hour) and most generous people in the world We cheat* almost as badly as the UK and Germany for the first, and the second I've seen differently. Here's a hint: Wall Street gets counted in the numbers, that's why American productiv...

Re: Movie/Books/Etc list
I don't think we really disagree about this one (horror of horrors), I just don't find that the film touches me as strongly as it did you. I think your analysis is pretty good and lines up with most of my thoughts about the meaning and purpose of its sections.

Re: Movie/Books/Etc list

Re: Board RPG Thing?
With nothing left to do barring either killing the damn thing or waiting on his ass for more expensive analyses, Norville decides to take advantage of his buzz with a walk to the bar for a drink or two before he goes to bed.

He finds an aerosol of isoflurane and opens the box, holding it at the ready. Inside is what looks like the common bullfrog, rana catesbeiana , but its body alone is about nine inches long, and it's seven inches wide at the widest point. One eye is horribly undersized for the rest of the head, look...

Re: Board RPG Thing?
Making a mental a note to put this kid on The List for not calling him Dr. Rogers, Norville takes the box into his arms and tells the kid to follow him to the lab where they can make some detailed observations. Along the way, he'll try to get an idea of what it is.
