LOL "what do you do then, program a holographic doctor?"
That's the kind of reference that makes me plain lol, it fits the story, delivered without any silly wink, just he considers it absurd but it something that makes me lol

Re: Trek Thread
Even Dear Doctor, which is a bad episode, was good for most of it up until the last five minutes. It reminded me of Data's Day. I'm watching Dear Doctor now.... and it might be my favorite episode of Enterprise so far. I actually like Dr Phlox this time (first time I watched, I found him annoying b...

Re: Trek Thread
onto Fortunate Son... and I like the design of this cargo ship. The nacelles look TOS-y without being a total copy and the inside has that 70's sci fi font all over to give the impression that it is kinda retro sci-fi, which it is in universe, being an old, last generation ship. I both kinda like th...

Re: Trek Thread
So one thing that kinda jumps out at me is an awful lot of of Voyager's displays looked like CRTs embedded in the consoles, and Enterprise's look like off-the-shelf LCD monitors (hell, at quick look, I think I see HP logos! but i don't think that's what it actually is). TNG looks more futuristic to ...

Re: Trek Thread
I seriously can't get over how much I could just sit back and enjoy Enterprise without going 'zomg SDN says this show is stupid.' That place really poisons one's thinking. Yeah. I am now about five episodes in... I'm paused in the middle of the Andorian Incident and I'm basically enjoying it. "...

Re: Trek Thread
Until now, I had never actually even seen like 1/4 of all Star Trek! Though, by the end of the next month, I'll have that remedied. All that's left is Enterprise (and I have seen a handful of these before, I watched the first three or four when it originally aired, and a small few since then - I'm d...

Re: Trek Thread
ON TO ENTERPRISE I actually like the theme song to it as an independent song, and the images plus the lyrics fit pretty nicely, but it still felt really out of place when it actually played... maybe it is my tv's speakers though, they are really bad, but Voyager's theme song always seemed right to m...

Re: Trek Thread
Eh, I didn't hate it, but I just would have liked to see more afterward.
But yeah, the rest of the episode just wasn't really finale material. "All Good Things" sets a nice bar.

Re: Trek Thread
Yeah, they wanted to send them home even in like season 6 but Berman didn't.... near the end of season 7 would have been good though, or heck, even just at the end of Endgame part 1. Part 1 kinda showed what would happen to them.... but since it was an alternate timeline, it doesn't really work for ...

Re: Trek Thread
I don't even know why I even bother living anymore. My whole life is ruined. That's right, I just finished Star Trek: Voyager. I no longer have it to look forward to :( All that's ahead is the despair that is.... Enterprise. so endgame is the worst finale since turnabout intruder though that doesn't...

Re: Trek Thread
so I have heard good things about the new movie, someone said it is like they remembered how to do a star trek movie but one of the positive reviews also said it was worse than the last two which might be a good thing because anyone who liked those other two doesn't know what a good star trek movie ...

Re: Testing Episode IV: A New Lament
i watched the force awakens last night (previously i had kinda half-watched a bootleg but the quality was miserable)
it sucks. really boring, couldn't even keep my attention, nothing memorable. worse than attack of the clones. worse than star trek 5. at least they had their moments.

Re: Let's Big Orange this shit: rank the Trek movies!
The TOS movies nearly all have the same thing in common: the Kirk-Spock-McCoy trifecta, and the amazing chemistry they have. Even The Final Frontier has some great moments with the cast. So true. I find myself referencing TFF from time to time because it is amusing... First Contact is just meh. Lik...

If Hillary Clinton wins the nomination, Trump is probably our best bet at getting a centrist in the White House.

Gah, I don't want to live there. The mountains are nice, but the Mormons are insufferable. Some notable exceptions, of course, I like a number of the individual families and people I know out there, but the overall culture is eek and just too crowded for me. i don't love the weather either, nor the ...

Aye. Work brought me down to the city once last year though and might again, but usually I'm up in the nice north.Oxymoron wrote:I plan on visiting New York City for a week this summer with my boyfriend.
