Re: Testing Episode IV: A New Lament
Norton products are fundamentally useless, and windows 8.1 comes built in with antivirus. If it's not taking care of it, create a boot disc of some other antivirus like malware bytes or avast, or just download Hiren's Boot CD and burn that.

Re: videojuegos
Far Cry 3 really had some great FPS gameplay. The story was fuckled sideways but the actual game is pretty good.

Re: videojuegos
Right now it's currently a false alarm What seems to have happened is that I haven't really played it since it updated to 1.7, so I didn't realize that this introduced a problem with the HDMI handshake it makes to TV's In order for my PS4 to start working, I had to disable "Deep Color" mod...

Re: Weeaboo shit thread
is this your first anime? No, but I now avoid any show that does that kind of thing. I don't watch much anime these days. I hate to appeal to a sunk cost fallacy But you probably should have just stuck with it 'quit' is too strong a word, actually. I made it to the next episode where something actu...

Re: videojuegos
Well, I sure am glad I bought a PS4.
Because now it doesn't work. It just blinks back and forth from the menu to a black screen forever, regardless of TV, cable, HDMI port, boot order, or system options.

Re: Weeaboo shit thread
I watched through episode 10, or thereabouts. Bits of the show were really engaging. I liked the horror of the warehouse scene where they had to be lowered in the lift. And then there was that time where there were THREE ENTIRE EPISODES where NOTHING HAPPENED. AT ALL. THEY JUST SAT THERE IN A COURTY...

Fancy. So yeah, storage isn't really a hurdle unless you don't have a spare $60. Which is totally reasonable, I don't have a spare $60 right now.

You could try that, though I'm not sure I'd suggest running games that way. Not unless the latest revisions of USB have gotten blindingly fast.

That video card should play games just fine, too, as far as I can tell. If you get shitty framerates at Ultra settings, turn off v-synch and anything that says "occlusion" to get frames back.

Re: videojuegos
Titanfall is also absurdly huge, though in that game's case it's because of uncompressed audio. But yeah, triple-A games are now being made with bluray discs (read: consoles) in mind, so they have no qualms about filling that space up. It's pretty rare for a game with any kind of marketting to come ...

The new Sailor Moon has started airing.
I haven't seen it and don't know where to find it and don't really care, but some of you might, so I'm letting you know in case you were out of the loop.

Re: Testing Episode IV: A New Lament
PS2 was built before broadband existed and there was no design paradigm of having a big hard drive while being connected to the internet you couldn't even connect the PS2 to the internet without an ad-in expansion thing that cost a ridiculous sum PS4 can stream games from the intertubes and play mov...

Re: Testing Episode IV: A New Lament
Well, that's why you needed updates. I'd say the more real problem with the current gen of consoles is not that you need to download updates, but that there aren't enough games out that require you to turn your console on and then play it on a regular basis, leading to long periods of shut down beca...

So I'm guessing you haven't turned your console on since you bought it? Or... was one of those updates a patch for the game?

Re: videojuegos
Bloodlines is an unusually good CRPG, and the devs cared so much about it that a handful of them worked on patch 1.2 without pay after being laid off. It's a shame that it rarely ever goes on sale so that more people can play it, though it IS on sale right now for $5 on steam.

Re: Testing Episode IV: A New Lament
I was ringbearer at a catholic wedding when I was like 13 or so. Cathedral, huge stained glass windows everywhere, bright, sunny day in the middle of california summer 90 degrees outside, who knows how hot inside, standing for 4 hours under a window with no ventilation in three layers of tuxedo. For...
