Re: videojuegos

Forza 5 is good fun.

But you what the best thing is about this game? I can drive a 1963 Beetle, and a Love Bug paintjob is readily accessible. Best racing game ever.

Re: Testing Episode IV: A New Lament

My uncle had a Catholic funeral. He wasn't any brand of Christian, but other relatives planned it.

Fun fact: When the cause of death is suicide, Catholic priests really aren't good at hiding their disdain.

Re: videojuegos

So I put a disc in. It sounds like a jackhammer.

Now I have to take the bastard in for exchange. Thankfully I have the receipts and such.

My copy of Iron Man 2 is inside, so I need to talk the guy into somehow reimbursing me for it.

I haven't tested it. So far it's just been me and Sam sharing a controller.

Also, the new weapons and level stuff are awesome. Water!

Re: videojuegos

We traded in the XBox 360 and games for $350, and thus got an XBone with four games for about $250.

We've just been playing Worms all night, because that shit is fun.

Re: videojuegos

Is an XBOne worth getting yet? I'm planning on trading in my 360/Wii/PS2 at the local EB, but found I can keep the store credit on an indefinite pre-order, which I'm planning on doing at least until my tax return hits in July. I'm wondering if I should just keep the store credit until another price ...

I taught Objective C coding for the first time yesterday.

Fun times, as I got him to make a little program where an astronaut says hi.

Re: Testing Chat Episode VI: Return of the Chat

And my arguments are essentially the same of those of the broad indigenous movement just, I think, applied consistently across all ethnic groups. Interestingly, lots of indigenous people I know here are keen to get out into the wider world, because of varied indigenous issues in Australia. Many pla...

Re: Testing Chat Episode VI: Return of the Chat

It doesn't really. But I dislike the idea of exploiting the people without allowing them to move to the other side of that fence. That said, I'd be interested to know if there's any incentives which encourage people to migrate from the rich countries to the poorer ones to bring their expertises or w...

Re: Testing Chat Episode VI: Return of the Chat

Immigration to a certain extent is very cruel. It allows rich white countries to skim the best and brightest of every other ethnicity on the planet off the top, which helps contribute to leaving their homelands mired in poverty and disease. I would be more sympathetic to this idea if those same ric...

To be fair, unbalanced British emigration doesn't have a great track record either.

Re: Trek Thread

Fandom is measured in the ratio of love to hate you have for the franchise.

When you approach 1:1, you are a good fan. Until then you're just a poser.
