Re: The Testing Chat III: The Time of Great Chatting
Revenge of the Sith really didn't do TEO any favours. Within 6 month to a year of it's release there is a >40% drop in posting activity.

Re: generic vidja gaems
The first couple of Halo novels weren't terrible. I mean, they weren't spectacular and I probably wouldn't read them on their own merits, but they were pretty fun. I dunno about the more recent ones. Greg Bear is doing a sequence about the Forerunners that sounds utterly crazy. Greg Bear work was d...

Re: The Testing Chat III: The Time of Great Chatting
Dalton already set the bar really fucking low when he threated to ban people over suggesting Fox News may have a systematic bias which has them swapping Rs to Ds consistantly when a Republican is caught doing something wrong. And got really nasty over suggesting Fox News deliberately lies, despite t...

Re: The Testing Chat III: The Time of Great Chatting
TEO also had a precipitous drop in patronage at some point. Remember the days of hundreds of active users live at a time? When debates turned over super rapidly and we *needed* to split the forums so much to manage traffic. The ending of several major sci-fi series all at once (stargate, nbsg, etc)...

Re: The Return of Testing Chat Thread
I tried out Windows 8 a while back. My first exposure to Windows Server 2012 was trying to use it in a windowed RDP session with the system I was connecting from having multipule monitors. I raged and deleted the VM inside of an hour. Since then, I've upgraded a bunch of my home lab to use it, but ...

FLOSS IDEs have a different development model, and are therefor distinct, but none of those IDEs in the article was FLOSS. FLOSS IDEs are also stinking piles of shit. Really doesn't help that gcc, the GPLed compiler to use, is actively hostile to any sort of integration which kinda a bad thing for ...

It is either baddly configured backups, or the xenforo caching crap growing like crazy before whatever prunes it kicks in. Saddly, it will probably get worse as Kier is a rather absent forum owner. Throwing more resources at it would help, but that would cost money. And Kier hasn't even bothered to ...
