Re: Testing Episode IV: A New Lament

Jesus christ, seventy years later and you guys still haven't cleaned up properly. And I hear you're still sorting our shit from the one before that.

Mate a pavement is any outdoor surface that's not a road and is made of concrete and/or bricks. Check yourself before you wreck yourself.

Re: Trek Thread

TOS is like Animal House; if you sat down to watch an episode for the first time you'd more than likely realise you knew the story treatment before the first act was over.

Crystalline Event is running right now, so no.

Also fleet stuff is happening, and I cannot just let it die.

Also I cannot abandon the ladies.

Re: The Glue Factory

Earlier today I was driving home and on the footpath(sidewalk for those who don't speak the Queen's) were three girls, in their school uniforms, maybe 6th graders. One of them was on a scooter and wearing a helmet. I lol'd.

I dunno about Houston, but in Australia for the last ten or so years it's been a seller's market when it comes to tradies.

Re: Trek Thread

I feel like eventually we're going to get a TV movie on the real behind-the-scenes making of Trek, focused on Roddenberry. It won't happen until after Shatner passes on.

That's a great video and two good examples. It's kind of like the tacticool creep in the Call of Duty series which gradually(or suddenly, depending how you feel) robbed the games of their immersion.

Vale paternal gramma

On Xmas day I got to be involving in springing a 97 year old man from transitional care and take him to see that the garden he's poured his life into is still being tended in his absence. Fuckin' mint.

This is the spirit of it
