I shudder to think what his brownshirts thugs supporters will do when they lose.

Re: Testing Episode IV: A New Lament
Yeah, but I doubt Trump would get elected even then.
Last I checked, Clinton has a "strongly dislike" rating among likely voters of around 33%, but Trump's is 56%. In that vicinity anyhow.

Re: Testing Episode IV: A New Lament
Am I the only one who is horrified/embarrassed, but also weirdly amused by Trump being the Republican front runner?

I won't be, but I would like to hear about what you eat if you end up going to one of the more well known restaurants. Or even one of the not so well known restaurants if it's really good.
One of the Ray's Pizza places, Russ and Daughters, Katz's, Papaya King, etc.

Re: Hail, Caesar!
I wouldn't say that I hated it, but it didn't work for me. There were good moments and I could identify with Brolin's character to an extent, but the rest sort of fell flat for me. I could also tell there was an allegory or some kind of subtext they were trying to get across to me, but I never figur...

Re: Testing Episode IV: A New Lament
There is nothing available (read: suitable) within my price range right now. The *one* I found that was fell through. And living with my parents makes me want to crawl out of my own skin. I have to listen to them complain for an hour (at least) every night while they watch the news. I can't go anywh...

Overall, a much better movie than the PT, but that was worse than watching Optimus die when I was 6.

I hesitated to post my petty problem given recent events, but this IS the lament thread and I want to vent.
I got dumped over the weekend and it fucking sucks.

Well, they came back with a more reasonable offer. I countered. The Spartan wrote:Okay, so the offer was pretty lowball. Absurdly so. Wait and see.

Re: Testing Episode IV: A New Lament
Heard that I might get an offer on my house within the next week or so.
That's encouraging. I've been living at my folks' house for about three months now and I'm about ready to crawl out of my skin.

Ah, don't sweat it. Condolences aren't really needed. I've never been close to that side of the family, at least, not since I grew up. Like I said, I'd just have soon have skipped it, even though it was my grandmother. I only went since it was dad's mom and I didn't want to be that level of dick whe...

Re: Testing Episode IV: A New Lament
My gran was buried yesterday. She was the last of that level of my family tree. All my grandparents and all their siblings and cousins are gone now. So that part makes me feel a little melancholy, even if her passing doesn't much affect me directly. The only grandparent I was close to died when I wa...

Ralin: perhaps, but you're a brony (I presume?) and I'm not.
BO: He has taken really good care of himself. I wouldn't have figured he was 55.
It was a really entertaining show though.

In spite of all the crushed red pepper it was surprisingly mild. You can really enjoy the taste of the okra even though it's been pickled.
