Re: videojuegos
Does that surprise you? Take a look at the Freespace Source Code project. A game made in 1999, in a genre that's entirely dead because no one wants to play it anymore, and people are still making campaigns, graphics updates, and mods for it.

Huh. So I guess it's going to be a little harder than I expected to find eight personal references I can use for this Guardsmark application.

Re: videojuegos
Does anyone know if the Steam version of Fallout 3 runs a little better on windows 7 than the disc version? I already have the game and a couple of the add-ons, but they run like shit and Steam is offering 40% off for the summer sale.

*squints* Also did she just equate the current status of women in the U.S. with that of blacks under Apartheid?

Re: Testing Chat Episode VI: Return of the Chat
Well that does kind of make sense. Under those circumstances I don't think it was a good idea to reveal her identity.
Also, doesn't the Vale storyline in the books make Littlefinger out to be even more of a pedo creeper?

Re: videojuegos
I haven't followed Infinity since AH basically killed my interest in the Ace Combat franchise. I mean its cool that they're going back to the world of railguns, laser planes, and flying fortresses, but if I want to see that I think i'm content to go back and re-play 4, 5, 0, or 6.

ACE COMBAT INFINITY JUST LAUNCHED (in the US) It's an Ace Combat that's free to play and not terrible like Assault Horizon. What the fuck happened with Assault Horizon anyways? I don't know why they went for a more "grounded" approach reminiscent of Tom Clancy stories, when Ace Combat's g...

Re: Testing Chat Episode VI: Return of the Chat
That's basically what happened. Its also notable that she knew he was mentally damaged due to chemical exposure and didn't get him help so she could manipulate him into marrying her. Their entire relationship was a toxic mess. Actually most comic book relationships are toxic messes. Then when ultima...

Stephen Lang. In the comics he's a thief who stole the Ant-man gear from Pym, but I don't know how they'll introduce him in the MCU.

Re: Share your favorite Star Wars memories
Kre'fey did alright I think. The battle for Coruscant was lost because of senate shenanigans perpetrated by viqi shesh. Sien Sovv was forced to direct the battle with the entire senate looking over his shoulder. He also allowed the Vong to get too close because they had ships full of hostages in fro...

Re: Share your favorite Star Wars memories
I don't know why you think Garm and Wedge were "wimpy," Given that the former seized command of the rout at Coruscant and turned it into a fighting retreat and the latter hopped in an X-wing and shot down two squadrons of coralskippers.

"Sending an agent to collect it?"
That sounds really super-villainish. Is your agent going to burn the post office down as an example to others as well?

Re: Share your favorite Star Wars memories
Denning seems to take a lot of the flak for how LotF turned out. I don't know if it's warranted though.
Was he more involved in the overall planning of that god-awful shit show than the other two?

Re: Share your favorite Star Wars memories
With the big three bowing out in crucible and the lasting effects of LotF dealt with there was certainly potential for it to be interesting again.
Whether or not that potential would've been squandered is something we'll never know.

Re: Share your favorite Star Wars memories
Indeed. The NJO wasn't perfect and I did get bored and skip to the finale around the time they started looking for the magic planet thing, but it was something new, got the EU moving in a coherent direction and told an epic story. I skipped the Dark Nest books because I'd already kind of fallen out...

Re: Share your favorite Star Wars memories
You know, with the EU officially being over, I think we can safely point to LotF as the point where everything just went wrong . Just, completely, irreversibly wrong. The NJO was dark to be sure, but there were moments of comedy or triumph, and it ended on a hopeful note. LotF took the Star Wars fra...

Re: Share your favorite Star Wars memories
You know the more I think about it, the more I realize if it weren't for TOR, i'd probably be bowing out of the SW fandom entirely. There just isn't anything else coming up that i'm interested in. TCW is done, and Rebels looks mildly interesting but i'm still expecting network interference from Disn...
