Re: videojuegos

I haven't played GTA5 but I'm willing to bet it's not as good as saints row 2. It's not even as good as GTA4. Having been playing GTA IV fairly recently alongside GTA V , although the driving/shooting mechanics are more plodding, I find the side games (like bowling) more involving than darn tennis ...

Re: videojuegos

I'd be more worried about the 360. Those early models, and I think only the early ones were cream, are held together by pritt stick and string. It will die on you. I get the impression it's a late early cream model that was made soon after the complaints came in about the "ring of death" ...

Re: videojuegos

I've finally gotten my Xbox 360 wired up to the internet (the older cream coloured model). How long will Xbox 360 games maintain online communities after their recent obsolescence? It sounds like GTA V 's online presence bought the PS3 and Xbox 360 more time as secondary games consoles (and PS4 and ...

Re: Testing Chat Episode VI: Return of the Chat

Pissed at the stupidity of the movie on how the damn kid survived and how the movie fell apart completely in the last ten minutes (we rented the VHS many years ago when Jurassic Park III was newish and VHS hadn't quite died as a main home viewing medium yet).

Me and my dad mildly enjoyed The Lost World in the cinema, but dad got really pissed at me for renting Jurassic Park III on VHS.

Re: Testing Chat Episode VI: Return of the Chat

Especially the second. Are you kidding me that the Swedish guy gets killed by basically twenty cackling green mice, with long, snappable necks?? Can you or a lot of other people stop a swarm of vicious foot long rats crawling over you? I was always creeped out by that scene. Also I nearly forgot wh...

And? It's a very solid game with great artistic direction, with a surprisingly good ending and a couple of amusing plot twists. I wonder when the Zelda series could truly grow up though and how it'll be affected by Nintendo's current crisis (even of the 3DS if faring considerably better than the tan...

Re: Testing Chat Episode VI: Return of the Chat

Link Heck, it probably was way worse in the times until the 19th century because until then, non-officers among the crew were considered to be the dregs of the sea and treated little better than scum by their officers. The Royal Navy was particularly cruel in that regard, with their requirement for...

Re: Share your favorite Star Wars memories

I imagine many other online Star Wars communities are doing very well after the financially successful but creatively uneven critic/fan drubbed Prequel Trilogy, with more new movies now underway. I think the slowly self-destructing SD.Net being "dead" for a long time now appears to be down...

Re: Testing Chat Episode VI: Return of the Chat

OK, last night I stayed up too late watching two movies dripping in early to mid 1990s cheese, Sudden Death and Demolition Man . Sudden Death is very typical of the post- Die Hard movies where a charismatic scenery chewing mastermind (in this case Powers Boothe) and his cadre of mercenaries armed wi...

Could the Disney Star Wars movie released in the comparatively near future bring the ailing SD.Net back from the negative feedback loop it's been stuck in the past three or four years?

Re: Lament 3: Cry Hard With A Vengeance

Re: Testing Chat Episode VI: Return of the Chat

Pacific Rim was that fatal combination of being both stupid and boring at the same time Hmmmm, I think that applies more to his Hellboy movies. Blade II was workmanlike action horror (it was better than Blase: Trinity , but that's not a hard thing to do). Hellboy was more inventive than Pacific Rim...
