Re: Testing Chat IV: A New Hope

Looks like "Ebony" is the top porn search term for Louisiana, Arkansas, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, Maryland, and both Carolinas. Plus Kentucky is the only state with gay male porn in the #1 slot, and Vermont is the only state with lesbian porn in the #1 slot. And almost all of Venezuel...

Re: videojuegos

What's the deal about that mission ? Carlos is the guy who helps you break out of prison and becomes one of your lieutenants. After pissing off the Brotherhood, they kidnap him, chain him to the back of one of their trucks, and start dragging him. The mission involves killing the driver of the truc...

Re: videojuegos

I just want to say that I'm already viewing people who go "lol Xbone" in the same light as people who spell Microsoft with a $ unironically. Joke got old pretty fast. On a completely separate note, I said a while back that I was playing Saints Rows 2 and 3. Having played them, I'd just lik...

Re: Testing Chat IV: A New Hope

Anyway, you know, after having watched a number of documentaries on WW2, I'm getting irritated at how overwhelmingly the attention is turned on the American perspective on things. I can see this, especially how the European and Pacific theaters are treated as two parts of the same war as a matter o...

Judging from Google, I'm guessing Flagg make a Walking Dead reference.

Re: Testing Chat IV: A New Hope

So maybe it's just the whole raised Catholic thing, but every time someone says, "May the Force be with you," I want to reply, "And also with you." I have the same issue. Now we're supposed to respond, "And with your spirit." I'm still getting used to that. That ...

Re: Lament 3: Cry Hard With A Vengeance

A lot of shampoos come with conditioners, anyway, since shampoo tends strip off the outer layers of the hair, which can leave it brittle if you don't use conditioner.

Re: Bitching bitching.

You know, when you take a step back, it's interesting to consider how people are asking which insults they are allowed to use without offending people. The purpose of an insult is to offend, so wouldn't any word that could be considered sufficiently inoffensive not really be fit to be considered an ...

Re: videojuegos

SR3 is a lot like SR2, only with more polygons and the wackiness turned up to 11. It makes it a lot easier to hijack an A-10, do a few strafing runs on a suburb, then ditch it in downtown and parachute to safety while it explodes in an intersection, all while dressed in one of those furry animal mas...

Re: videojuegos

Funny enough, sometimes the difficulty for the diversions is a little weird. I found Easy difficulty Mayhem to actually be harder than Hard difficulty because Easy didn't allow me to use the RPG launcher. I just had to keep spamming grenades, when 10 seconds of spamming RPGs is a lot more efficient ...

Re: videojuegos

So I've been playing Saints Rows 2 and 3, because I'm like Oxy and only buy games when they've been out for a million years and cost about $2. So far my favorite spontaneous moment in the game: I had just finished a mission, and was out looking for a car to go someplace else. I ran out into the stre...

Oxy, make no mistake, this document isn't about corporations other than tangentially, despite the "on the page" wording. It's advocating pre-emptive cyber warfare on a scale that actually boggles the mind. The cyber equivalent of running gunbattles down city street at one end and the equi...

Re: Testing Chat IV: A New Hope

The second part about wanting to legalize backhacking and infecting or disabling the attacking computer also opens a pretty big can of worms, especially since a lot of attacks come from end user computers that are already infected.

Re: Testing Chat IV: A New Hope

The whole "let a planet get wiped out by a random asteroid/space disaster because PRIME DIRECTIVE" has always bothered me. I suppose it'd be one thing if they were arguing about intervening in political squabbles or even wars on non-warp planets, because "mysteriously powerful aliens...

Re: Testing Chat IV: A New Hope

The main thing that differentiates the enterprise and consumer grade computers is that the consumer stuff tends to use cheaper hardware. The hardware still functions by the same rules, but the consumer grade stuff tends to fail faster because it wasn't built with longevity in mind.

My own interpretation of Luna --kind of supported by canon what with the whole "Nightmare Moon" thing and what we've seen in the Nightmare Night episode-- is that she's not a people person. Oh and also that the Elements of Harmony didn't reform her, that she's just bidding her time to try...

Re: Testing Chat IV: A New Hope

well that was weird. I was nervous about my History final so I started jokingly praying to every god I could think of to lighten the mood a bit. I was also doodling on my arm a little with my pencil. At one point I started to beseech Tzeentch for the wisdom to pass the test, only to find that while...

Also, you're wrong about eating cows being more environmentally friendly. On average it takes about five pounds of plant matter to create one pound of consumable cow flesh, for pigs it's about 3:1, for chickens about 2.5:1. You might get more meat out of the individual creature but it takes so much...

I also think, for those trying to encourage veganism or vegetarianism, the wrong approach is to push meat substitutes. It's fine to have something like tempeh as a substitute for chicken, but you're doomed for failure if it's the only thing keeping you from eating chicken.

Re: Testing Chat IV: A New Hope

Any of you guys try the RPG? I played it years ago, I think 06 or 07, but the GM only used it for the mechanics. He used the basic system for a story set in Pirates of the Caribbean instead of Firefly, so the campaign I played in was slightly modified. It's an alright system, and the core mechanics...

Re: Testing Chat IV: A New Hope

I can definitely see what somebody here (Civil War Man?) said about how you can interpret the film as having pretty strong conservative messages. I did make some posts to that effect after seeing the movie. It completely baffled me how some people in that thread so obstinately refused to see a pret...
