Re: Let's Big Orange this shit: rank the Trek movies!
The second movie started off fair enough (with genuine fun and adventure with saving aliens from a volcano) but seemed to slowly implode completely on itself as soon as the supposed Khan got introduced (and we had annoying plot holes like the emergency secret Starfleet committee not knowing the conc...

Re: Episode VII: The Force Awakens
I liked the Rey melody and it generated better ambience than in the PT, like the ANH's soundtrack, but there was no strident tune like the Maul duel, Vader march, Palpatine dirge, and Battle droid army march.

Re: Episode VII: The Force Awakens
The Force Awakens is more exciting than the most solid and entertaining of the PT films, The Revenge of the Sith , but the latter film did not loot from the ANH and RotJ as heavily as TFA cockily did. I was glad that the Stormtroopers were performers and stunt men in costume (the CGI Clonetroopers ...

Re: Testing Episode IV: A New Lament
The smartphone industry pulled the carpet out from under me when I traded in my damaged Nokia Lumia 930 for a Samsung Galaxy S4, I got blind sided by the specific size of the SIM cards needed for newer and older smartphone units respectively! So I got a Nano SIM card from my Nokia Lumia lodged into ...

Yeah, Weird Al looks closer 38-40 rather than 55, he must be really into exercise, but since the 1990s chain smoking is more frowned upon and less prevalent, so you're more likely to have people who don't look like fuck past their older 30s.

Re: videojuegos
I don't hate multiplayer, myself, and for many games it's a primary draw. I just also don't mind when people are put off by it, because I do kind of get it. I find GTA Online a little hard and slow to get into, and online multiplayer hasn't developed the reputation of experienced multiplayers freez...

He had a decent enough innings, but a poignant sign that we're not getting younger and TOS in its original run is rapidly dropping out of living memory now (William Shatner, although remarkably fit for his age, must be shitting himself now).

To be fair the staff were professional and discreet enough in running the place, plus I wasn't harmed, and nothing was stolen, with the majority of guests being cool and going to the anime convention as well. I just didn't think much about the bathroom facilities and bedding.

I now really wished game discs (and DVDs/Blu Rays) from the last 15 to 20 years came in clear plastic cartridge housing similar to the ones for the 1990s MiniDiscs, dramatically increasing their robustness and longevity, making them more genuinely suitable for the second hand games market and librar...
