You know years ago I started 'working' on a Gundam fanfic and the thing about Gundam is that the names need to be pretty out there, and I decided to go full frontal with the whole thing. The main character's name is Skylark Hokuto and his partner is called Piety Carnelli. The four ace pilots around whom the robot action revolves are Nephthys Kafka, Ysrael Samsa, Montauk Ares and Bear Fury. Their idol/dead leader was Beowulf Fudo (his sister-in-law and sister are the unimaginatively themed Grendel Fudo and Hrunting Fudo). The less important you are to the plot the more unlikely your name is, so you get goofy shit like Laser Circus or whatevs.

Fudo is like the best Japanese last name ever. One of the main characters in Xenosurf is Arjuna Fudo (her relatives are also unimaginatively themed: elder brother and lax Buddhist priest Karna and grandfather/harsh taskmaster Krishna). I'm sort of goofily proud of Achilles Kaleido Arcadia Kirin and her elder sister Semyaza Kozmike Superbia Kirin.

If we're going to talk about writing in this thread, I had an idea recently that I'm sure is "too good" to have been original and am wondering where I've jacked it from.

I was going to do a short story thing about time travel - where time travel is like air travel today, cheap and ubiquitous. One of the major markets for it is going back to see classic bands.

So my silly twist on it was going to be that everyone at Woodstock was a time traveller who was there to catch the concert.

Is this straight up ripping off someone else?

Hitch Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy uses that joke with regards to the launch of the Titanic.

Well be to be honest when I say 'robots' I really mean 'stiletto heel hardlight kung fu machines'. That said I'd like to write something ACV inspired, with a little flavour from ACFA, that isn't just my Gundam fanfic, but I try to keep the number of 'plans' to a minimum.

You think I can't keep this thread up for four days? Don't get cocky! You're a hundred years too early to start talking like that.

This is Sherry here.
It is NOT horrifying. I could have been worse and gotten a Hello Kitty phone cover.
And I like monkeys. They are hells cute and the noise they make turn me on.
I even have monkey underwear. Oversharing much?

You married him for his monkeyface LAWL!

Ida married him for his silky smooth aussie accent.

Yeah, mang. Like one time STRAK went all grouchy on me one morning before he had his coffee and he remarked that sherry brought him a cup going "Monkey, monkey-ass, ass-monkey" something like that. (apparently straight up calling him out for being a d-bag before his morning cuppa joe
