so speaking of not being able to follow conversations i just read this 100 SEX TIPS thing for the lols. only a few of them sounded even remotely acceptable (and several of those were obvious); the majority of it was a lot of really fucking bad ideas

but anyway one of them made me laugh at myself because i totally wouldn't get it if it happened to me

one time in high school this girl was like all weird toward me (actually several times but this is the only one i recognized without the benefit of retrospect)

and let me tell you, i don't regret that decision one bit. the episode was THE DIE IS CAST. yeah, how could i resist watching that after seeing part one?????????


now granted i've now seen that episode a few times and the whole girl thing didn't really go far and never quite came back up, so one could argue that i made the wrong decision. tv will always rerun eventually, but people eventually go their own way


but... i don't (fully) agree. that was one fine hour of television. DS9 is a great show

not as good as STAR TREK: THE NEXT GENERATION, but it is certainly better than sex

today there was a documentary on TV titled "Afghanistan, or the failure of the High-Tech War".

To see this Leviathan brought to its knees with things as simple as IEDs. A million dollar truck destroyed and several people harmed or killed with a hundred dollar of chemicals and home furnitures.

It was morbidly fascinating to see the logistical wealth of the US Army and the Coalition, and how worthless it was in the end because they just don't understand WHAT they are fighting.
