Sadly yes. I couldn't believe they actually put something so lame in a released movie.

It could have been funny, but it was overdone, overacted, and overlame as a result.

I hope that they at least did well the space battle scenes ?

i love the reaction to the un palestine vote

palestine: "i can haz freedom plz?"
israel+usa: "NO"

palestine: "so i'm thinking about asking the UN for help moving toward freedom"
israel: "you're already free. what are you complaining about. PS if you ask them i'll kill you"

palestine: "plz tell israel to stop killing us"
usa: "ONE SIDED REQUEST = VETOED"

palestine: "hey un we want a taste of freedom"
canada: "HOW DARE YOU MAKE A UNILATERAL DECLARATION" (apparently, palestinians aren't allowed to speak without hte israeli government's permission)
usa: "ONLY DIRECT NEGOTIATIONS BETWEEN OPPRESSED AND OPPRESSOR ARE ALLOWED"
israel: "THIS WAS AN ACT OF DIPLOMATIC TERRORISM!!!!!!!!" (seriously, i'm not making that up)
palau: "we're on your side guys but the usa has us by the balls.... sorry :( "

virtually everyone else: "ok sounds reasonable"

Sometimes I wish ppl would just be honest with what international politics dickery is all about

"Look, we consider Israel an ally so we're going to support them whatever dick move they pull they may be SOBs but they're our SOBs etc."

"Look we want the West Bank and Gaza for ourselves and have no real interest in an independent Palestinian state"

"Look we consider Iran a rival and threat to our interests so we are going to oppose them and dick them over at every turn"

Etc.

Instead of cloaking it in this self-righteous moralizing bullshit and trying to pretend they're some kind of noble heroes or innocent victims while pulling this shit and their shit don't stink

But of course then the bodies citizens might start to wonder what exactly they're getting out of all this bullshit and wonder about whether the interests of the elite political class are really theirs and start getting funny ideas gotta pretend its all being done to protect them from the forces of evil and advance the cause of good they are true American heroes.

Plus bet a lot of these ppl actually believe this shit

Look at the bright side: that they feel they have to lie about better intentions means ordinary folks aren't all bad.

HAMMOND: I'll give you half that.

SILER: No Sir, it doesn't work that way. 24 hours is the best I can do.

My favourite thing is when Ryan thinks its funny to be condescending to his elders.

My point is that the simplest interaction with people in any capacity where they should be careful but aren't should handily demonstrate that they are, in fact, largely idiots, and that its safe to assume they are until proven otherwise.

Well I mean you seem pretty eager to judge "everyone else" as idiots. I'm wondering if you apply such standards fairly to yourself.

edit: my point here isn't "lol you're stupid" but "maybe you're a bit quick to judge others"

I try to. I don't speed unless not doing so would cause an accident, and so on. Things like that. Be polite (shockingly, I don't talk to people off the internet the same way I talk to you guys xD.)

I've done my share of stupid shit, though, no sense pretending otherwise.

edit: that is, apply the same standards.

And yet, statistically gun owners are among the safest people in the country. You are literally more likely to be hit by lightening or be mauled by a bear (think about that, when have you even seen a bear?) then to be killed by a guy like Chocs or I. Your fear has no rational basis and so you fall into the classic emotion driven argument.

I remember when I was up north there was a bear in our truck yard every morning. Nobody wanted to park their truck too close to the edge of the field. Bear was easily scared away tho, a few dozen 500HP engines turning over one after another does that.

Black bears are giant pussies, thankfully.

But I picked bear because Ryan lives in the city. There everywhere out here and we used to see them on Ex all the time. The lure of garbage wasn't enough for them come into shotgun range though.
