It's hard to not notice it when you live here, especially in cities like mine where homelessness is a massive problem. (Pretty much every major intersection has some homeless person on it begging for money.)

But, here's the thing: those repeals and legal challenges haven't succeeded. Obamacare is the law, despite not helping win elections nor having a violent revolution to back it up.

So, if it re-affirms your position, then I don't understand what your position is, and it might help you convince people if you were more clear.

This does happen, but unless they're splitting out a bunch of posts, it usually only lasts for a minute or so- I think I've caught mods "in the act" once when they were splitting out a single post.

The general population don't have the interest or education to comprehend the economic and political folly of the EU, and it's difficult to convey its inherent waste, corruption, dysfunctionality and anti-democratic conceit in catchy soundbites. Those silly regulation stories probably helped the UK avoid being a front-row participant in the euro implosion nightmare.

Yeah, especially if you're like me and you can never manage to complete the split before someone replies to it (phpBB's system for merging and splitting posts is pretty clunky).

I'm pretty sure it's also supposed to be standard procedure to announce the thread is temporarily locked for a split. I don't know if SCrawl did that or not.
