Borrowed someone's copy of Persona 3 Portable and it's kind of taken over my life. In a good way, too; I actually got up (relatively) early today to play it (after playing it in bed for several hours before falling asleep :L) and that's pretty rare for me anymore.

Managed to grind up enough Charm to scare away Akihiko's fanclub by the second time he was available for a date aw yis

Man, Ryan Davis dying. That fucking sucks. He was a guy who I've been listening to, watching and reading for near enough on a decade. I was really looking forward to meeting him for drinks next week. The amount of times his podcasts had gotten me through rough days and weeks at work... Only 34 and just fucking married last weekend.

One of the games journos who I trusted - he was the first to walk from Gamespot after the whole K&L thing and was never afraid to actually say when his opinion was potentially compromised by friendship or junkets or whatever.

Anyhow, back to your videojuegos bitching.

Man that sucks a lot. Way too young.

In lighter news after having finally finished Red Dead Redemption after three years, I am returning to finish Tales of Vesperia. It's been ... a very long time.

People can hate on Red Dead Redemption all they want, but they'd be wrong. That story is so well told.

The ELC is the most fun vehicle in that game. Learning how to drift so that you can throw the ELC sideways, blast the side armour then straighten out and speed away again is awesome.

Spent a part of tonight playing with other peeps. Had some great fun. (Multiplayer games more fun when played with other actual human being ? Strange, I know rite ? PS : TeamSpeak is half the fun.)

Almost there. Should be done by tomorrow.

Not really, as far as I can judge. The starting gun is already relatively good, it just has a long reload time (and it's still faster than the two following guns).

But the real asset of that tank is speed and maneuverability anyway. You get in, you shoot, you get out. See the video above. :v

That fight against Sam the cyborg Samurai in Revengeance seemed kind of short especially after what that cheatin' bastard Sundowner did during the previous boss fight.

I know he's fat but he doesn't need extra arms to do the blocking for him :argh:

The fight against Sam was two things for me:

1) The easiest boss fight in the game
2) The most fun, kinetic and reflexive

Unfortunately I can't beat the game because the super final fight is literally impossible without being able to rapidly and accurately manipulate blade elevation and rotation with the thumbsticks.

It's the secret to everything in Metal Gear

well that or some trivia about real life that binds everyone together in conversation

like the food in Algiers.

Or how the American student loan system is in shambles so these poor child cyborg brains will still have a tough life even if they get bodies.

Bizarrely and in reverse of basically everyone who played Rising I found Sam to be the most difficult battle. He killed me more times than the rest of the bosses combined.

My favourite too. kyashaaaan~
