We are asking for your support in holding our elected representatives of the Student Government Association (SGA) accountable for their actions. For months, we have witnessed a representative body that has worked in direct opposition to our interests and scuttled all accountability. They have voted to increase their own pay, cut the budgets of every other Student Organization except their own, all while demanding students to pay more in fees. This ongoing lack of transparency has damaged the trust in democracy and financial stability of the students at Southern Polytechnic State University. We are now asking you, the students of SPSU, to lend us your voice. We are asking that you sign this petition to demand a representative government that listens to the Students. By signing this petition, we are demanding a full reevaluation of each elected representative and a new election. In addition, we seek a constitutional committee to form a new system that will allow us, the students, to determine the direction of our governing body.
