The Glue Factory
Re: The Glue Factory
haha, Pinkie Pie's sister is awesome
I wonder what a cutie mark for 'putting up with Pinkie Pie's shit' would look like

Applejack already has her cutie mark.evilsoup wrote:I wonder what a cutie mark for 'putting up with Pinkie Pie's shit' would look like
Re: The Glue Factory
Maud's pretty awesome, yeah. Though I did kinda like the theory that Octavia was Pinkie Pie's sister. Just because of the fanfic I read where she was all like "Octi I want to call in my yearly favor in exchange for leaving you alone!"
Re: The Glue Factory
On the one hand, not including Applejack quite possibly counts as a crime against humanity.Crazedwraith wrote:In other news:
MCDonald's pony toy line. Notice any Best Ponys missing?
On the other, they do have Princess Luna so we'll just go with feeble sanctions in place of hauling them before the ICC.
Re: The Glue Factory
So Best Pony makes for Best Episode. I really loved "Somepony to Watch Over Me" a ton. Of course it focusing on Applejack and Apple Bloom helps. But I understand where AJ was coming from, especially with the unspoken truth that not only is she AB's big sister, but basically a replacement for their mother. That just adds an extra layer of feels for me.
"Maud Pie" was also pretty awesome. Although sad Pinkie Pie was damn close to producing manly tears in me, I managed to restrain myself, just barely.

Re: The Glue Factory
Somepony to Watch Over Me was pretty good. If it was in the last season it would be one of the stronger ones; in the current season it was just OK.
There is something interesting in the Apple family in general in that you'd expect (in a typical cartoon) either Granny Smith or Big Mac to be the one 'in charge', but it's actually AJ, who is not only female but a younger sibling.
Speaking of, it would have been nice for Pinkie to mention to her sister that they're 'related' to AJ in Maud Pie.

This picture reminds me of me and my best friend, because Rainbow Dash looks so strong and confident and Fluttershy is all like "wat"
He says that a lot.

Re: The Glue Factory
wow. Maud Pie the episode was just so difficult to get through for me.
And that ending 'you all like pinkie' yeah but that doesn't mean you all have to like each other. There's a friendship lesson in there somewhere...

Re: The Glue Factory
I don't watch the magics or the ponies or whatever you kids are calling it these days, but my friend occasinally gives me clips of the show that he enjoys
and maud pie is delightful.

Re: The Glue Factory
So that was a great Luna episode. Oh who am I kidding, all Luna episodes are great episodes.
You know, so far she's helped out Scootaloo and now Sweetie Belle. Wonder if Applebloom will get a Dreamwalker episode? Hmm...
They credit Nicole Oliver with Celestia's voice but I don't recall her being in it. Maybe they just did that because that's one of her primary characters, even if she only actually voiced Cheerilee?

Re: The Glue Factory
I thought Luna sounded like Celestia at one point. But I tend to have a tin ear.

AJ continues to be best pony
also granny smith being able to do whatever shit based on the power of self-belief gives even more evidence to the 'earth pony magic is powered by ritual' idea

Oh right. Episodes have continued broadcasting since Maud Pie. My bad.

I like them. They're different in a good way, and a lot freer about making references and shout-outs like that.evilsoup wrote:and the evil queen from the lion the witch and the wardrobe

They're not in continuity with the show (or at least they are and the show isn't), but I'm pretty sure you've said that doesn't bother you.
Re: The Glue Factory
So awhile back I had this idea for a My Little Pony/Walker: Texas Ranger fanfic that I never got around to writing because I couldn't think of enough plot, though I was planning to base it on that Halloween episode where Walker battled a Satanic cult bent on human sacrifice led by Lucifer, the son of the devil. And now I'm starting to want to give it another try, only this time I figure I should include a love triangle between Walker, Fluttershy and Applejack.
Re: The Glue Factory
Also these guys seem to really like quoting me:
Re: The Glue Factory
Oh, and Walker's clothes won't make the transition to Equestria with him, thus giving me ample opportunity to describe his naked body.
