We got a call last night from a little girl asking for help, her moms ex bf was going to kill her. No number on the display, couldn't get any details and she hung up when I suggested she call the police. She called back less then a minute later and then hung up when I asked where she was.

So I called the police. It took them about half an hour but they got the number and then called back asking if I knew a Lucy Campbell out of Ebb & Flow (nearby First Nations reserve). I don't, though I get a lot of calls from the community centre looking for various people.

They said when they tried to call, whoever answered just hung up so they were going to go to the residence.

I stopped in the local store today and the lady who runs it got a similar call but heard laughing in the background so it was probably a prank. Who does that to a kid?

The people in "No" camp were generally older, with higher paid jobs and private property. I prefer a Federal system and don't like moribund Westminster at the moment, but Salmon seemed to have had an unrealistic "we'll cross that bridge when we get their attitude" and even George Galloway was in the "No" camp.

Just encounter in the Paris' underground people from an anti-gay manifestation. The father, the mother and the six under-10yo kids all wearing pink and brandishing French flags, fighting against the perils of Gay Marriage and LGBT Rights (apparently they have also started fighting against Trans rights now...).

My blood is still boiling from that. Didn't say anything, but the scowl I had on my face must have said it all. Don't think they saw it, though, absorbed as they were on the idea of going on a family picnic under the Eiffel Tower before going on walk to fight against my rights to be their equals.
