Haven't watched the last episode yet, or even caught up with the series past s05e13, but apparently Fluttershy is canonically weeaboo trash.

that raises a lot of questions. Is there a pony japan? Are they ponies or something else (like how the native americans were buffalos)?

There's been a number of ponies with slanted eyes already mostly in episodes related to Rarity & fashion, iirc).

Hasn't Neighpon been mentioned a few times already as well, or is that just fanon?

Seen the 2nd christmas episode. The 2nd Halloween episode is up coming.

I've got to say, while they seem to be doing okay at 2nd takes on events. There have been seriously huge numbers of repeats this season. If the can't come up with new things... well maybe it would be better to try and end on a high note with season 6.

Fairly sure it's fanon. Though I've seen fanart of Japanshy ever since season 1.

I did once read an article saying that Fluttershy was the most popular pony with Japanese fans because they think she acts like one of them, but someone I knew who had lived there for awhile said it was bullshit. And after it started airing dubbed on Japanese TV Applejack apparently emerged as the fan favorite.

Hard working, family-focused & no-bullshit goal oriented? Not surprised she'd catch-on there, given what the stereotype for asians / japanese are.

So...I just linked a friend of mine who lost interest in the show to a picture of Scootaloo's cutie mark. He didn't recognize the crest, guessed it was the French flag and asked if her special talent was surrendering.

Then I realized that they finally got their marks after having an epiphany and deciding they didn't care if they ever got their cutie marks.

I visited my relatives in Texas this weekend. My cousin's ten year old told me her friends tease her for watching My Little Pony "because it's for little babies."

I guess some problems are universal.

Luna has a solo song in today's episode.

It is just as amazing as I always thought it would be. More so, even. :flagg:

I need to write a story about the time Sci-Twi's puppy learned to beg for treats by being cute and ended up going on a berserk, city-destroying sugar high
