Re: The Return of Testing Chat Thread
Watching the final season of Mary Tyler Moore.
So far I've seen an episode about Mary getting hooked on sleeping pills, Ted spanking his child, and a whole thing about feminism in the media. I can see why this is so well regarded, second only to All in the Family.

So now I'm curious to see what happens in 2016. Will SDN stick the election thread into Famous Threads by default, or only if the Democrat candidate wins

Re: The Return of Testing Chat Thread
I think the internet "assume anything you stumble across has significant chance of being bullshit" filter has mutated horribly in my brain.
I mean I'm looking up a pretty simple basic thing, I mean a simple fact of life thing
And I hit site after site answering my question in about the same way
One of them is the Mayo Clinic website*
I even find a paper or two that mentions the subject
But somewhere in the back of my head is this voice that takes seriously the possibility that is ALL LIES or I'm misreading things or something.
And it will not shut up even though it'sbasically p much literally in conspiracy theory reasoning mode now.
IF IT'S ON THE INTERNET ITS AUTOMATICALLY SUSPECT
Christ
I guess I just have to ignore it lol
* No, I'm not trying to self-diagnose a medical condition...

Re: The Return of Testing Chat Thread
so i started to do my solar. just got a call back from a licensed installer
he said the tax incentive i can expect from my little installation might be as much as $2000
.... I only expect to spend ~$1400 on the parts. and i can't imagine the labor will be much more than a grand
and then there's federal credits he didn't include in that. this might end up being almost free (I'm sure there's a cap on the credits if it is free but still we're close). and then i'll break even on my electricity (or close enough) that i pretty much won't pay for that monthly either
instead of taking 8 years to pay for itself, it might take more like 8 months.
wow.

Harvey Birdman wrote:The toy, but she also made herself a sexy fluttershy costume out of some spare fur and wings we had. Apparently she picked that character because that was the colour we had spare and 'she looked fun to roleplay'. Alas, she won't let me take pictures of her in any of the not-approved-for-public-places costumes.
I also received Ace Combat 7, which turned out to be junk, Skyrim, which I haven't played yet, and assorted DVDs, articles of clothing and sweets. Last year I gave my close family tablet PCs; this year I gave everyone three large tins of Mountain House 30-year freeze dried food. The supplier told me that he was getting a lot of orders from City of London financial people this year.
