Apparently tonight is a Hunter's Moon. Which probably means "extra bright" but I can't be bothered to Google Bing it.

The Harvest Moon and Hunter's Moon are unique because the time difference between moonrises on successive evenings is much shorter than average.

How much effort does it take to clean a few dishes and a counter or stove or whatever that you're actually working up an appetite doing it

are your dishrags infused with lead weights to build strength during chores or what

Maybe he just keeps a really dirty kitchen and/or kept preparing himself a five course meal?

Although attaching weights to dishrags to build strength while cleaning is an awesome idea and I should try it.

For the first time ever, I have seen someone use the term "misandrist" un-ironically.

Well, the full context is the following quote :
Chatoyance is:

1.) One of the most prolific and well-known Conversion Bureau authors.

2.) As is clear through her work, a crazy misandrist misanthrope
I'll let you judge by yourself how justified the misanthopist part at the least might be justified.

the local sheriff's department got a new toy, courtesy of the DoD

how fucking ridiculous. we don't even have that much violent crime in these parts, and even when we do, it generally takes the form of one or two people with fists or knives or rarely, a gun

not a lot of roadside bombs and military ambushes

“I assumed that it was just another Humvee,” Mr. Gray said. “We simply don’t need something that excessive. We should have started asking questions much earlier.”
Yeah you probably should have. It's a fucking MRAP, Mine Resistant Ambush Protected and you though it was "just another Humvee" :psyduck:

I guess the local cops have purchased a mini-tank for the time they'll take you all away to the FEMA death camps.

Actually they didn't buy it, the DOD gave it to them.

And it wouldn't surprise me to see quite a few show up in the hands of various PDs and SOs over the next few years, because I can't imagine what-the-fuck-else DOD will do with all those MRAPs they'll no longer be needing for Iraq and Afghanistan.

TEO whining ftw: http://bbs.stardestroyer.net/viewtopic. ... 1#p3796671

Also tying back into that nerd-as-pejorative discussion we had awhile back. Somebody bringing up technical inaccuracies of a movie, BFD. There's nothing wrong with the discussion. For that matter, I'm sure there could be a lively and productive discussion regarding the legal errors and many, many creative liberties taken by Boston Legal.

Yeah well he posted it on SDNet so there. :fukyu:

Hm, maybe it's whining about NT on SDNet and then calling it whining about SDNet on NT.

Damn it I'm confused now. *smirk*
