it's a loaded term in american politics since you can get labeled an islamist by being a muslim in politics

so probably just better avoided especially by someone like mr nice day

Bets on how soon someone mistakes the tone of the article as serious rather than sarcastic and rageposts about it? DA's response could go either way, so I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt and assuming he's trying to goad the trolled into e-violence.

To my knowledge I have never heard a Muslim refer to other Muslims as 'Islamists', if you do then oh well but I'm not aware of such.

Islamists are a group of people in Muslim politics kinda like conservatives and liberals and progressives and nationalists are groups in western politics.

Cracked today tells it like it is
We're not robots, our minds wander, and debates that were going to be about one thing slowly drift off into being about another. You're talking about whether the media blows election stories out of proportion or not, someone cites the birth certificate brouhaha as an example of them doing just that, and someone else says, "Wait, that wasn't overblown." Next thing you know, you are arguing with a guy about where the president was actually born. (Spoiler: Mars.)

Someone else says, "For goodness' sake, people, this was a discussion about media reporting, why are we talking about the president's birth certificate?" and then the fingers start pointing. "He was the one who brought it up! I was just answering his question!" "It was a rhetorical question and he went off on this rant, so I had to respond and correct him!" If the discussion has moderators, they will soon threaten to stop the car and turn right around.

I'll admit that I don't like aspect of the ArmA mechanic

But damn I wish you guys were in game; I'd actually feel better dying at the hands of bandits knowing they were our bandits

Yeah, the psuedo RPG thing is keeping me in. I murdered someone for the first time last night and initially felt terrible about it; but then a.) I realised the same thing had happened to me many a time, and b.) I got matches from him which was awesome

I agree with you in advance than matches being a rare item is I'M A JUGGALO WOOP WOOP

There are plenty of long term players that think that noobs(like me) have ruined it already... But that's mostly because the servers can't match the demand.

Are there really people that don't care enough to suicide rush and get respawned? At the current build, you spawn at the coast with next to nothing and no way to defend yourself. It has taken a few sessions to get the weapons and supplies I'm carrying now, and not being able to carry a lot means I'm wary about water and food sources as I travel.

Do you believe they'll remove these aspects of the game just to make it more friendly for the mass market?

I genuinely don't understand the appeal. Is it faceless bullying? Or just another way of playing the game?

Bear with me here Dan because I'm really not understanding

How do you mean by death penalties? Because the current setup has you respawn with a bandage, a dose of painkillers, a torch, and your basic backpack. If you've spent the time looting, how is that not a penalty?

You've touched on a good point there; there is no end game, no win condition. That in itself is a road to eventual dissatisfaction.

Every time I've failed at stealth and been obliged to kill zombies, it's been a business, but a satisfying one.

DayZ. Survival horror mod for ArmA 2. I'm a bit hooked on it, but not for the reasons Dan wants me to be.

Maybe griefing means something entirely different to him.

When I hear griefing, I think people who play PvP solely to prey on players who can't defend themselves. Like someone in WoW who runs around one-shotting people 30 levels lower than him, but runs like a coward as soon as someone who could present the slightest challenge shows up. That kind of PvP is infinitely more fattynerd than even the lamest fattynerd roleplaying.
