We can hope. Aside from you have you noticed how many actual women are involved in the discussion Biscuit? It looked to me like it was like, 90% guys, and thats a pretty bizarre/skewed way to handle a discussion about 'rape'.

A lot of people don't list their gender there so I'm not sure, but honestly I don't think there were any other women in there who did more than a post I didn't catch. I may have been the only one there entirely? A lot of that thread kinda blurs together for me.

That's one of the reasons I felt the responsibility to keep responding so much in there. I mean I wasn't the only one saying that stuff but just as someone mentioned in that thread, male allies tend to control the narrative even more than we do despite the movement being about us, even when they don't intend to.

My experience is SB is actually fairly non-terrible overall when it comes to social issues, the depressing part isn't so much that it's generally terrible as that every non-terrible discussion has to be a victory against the significant and vocal terrible people contingent (edit: at least when it comes to race and gender and stuff, the consensus on economics is more firmly on the side of non-terribleness).
