It also generally has the biggest caliber and the longest barrel in order to maximize penetration of the target with each shot.

Well, it would have to, as reloading is an arduous process that takes anywhere from 5 to 20 minutes and is physically exhausting.

Really? Never takes me more than 5 seconds to reload, if I have a spare magazine around.

Now, to empty the magazine...

He's too young to understand magazines, anyway.

These days kids just go digital. They don't understand what it's like to hold it in your hands.

So, Greece...

Allegedly as measure of economy to meet the austerity goals set by the Troika, the Greek government has ordered for all the channels of the public television to be shut down yesterday. The screens went black in the whole country during the night (23h local time) yesterday.

I have to say... I tip my hat to the Greek government for a masterful act of political communication. By undertaking such a symbolic act, in such a brutal manner, they have sent an electroshock in the whole of the European Union, which if we are lucky will make the euro-pol elites seriously reconsider this whole "austerity" bullshit.

Well the thing is,

call me cynical, but I'd say that once the journalists see that they aren't above getting slam dunked like everyone else, we're going to see them -make- people care...

I mean, the reason I know this happened is because it was the top result of Google News, with a live / constantly updated coverage article. And apparently it has been taking airtime in the radio & televised journals at least this morning.

And politically, from what I've seen, not only have all the previously established anti-austerity politicians rushed into the breach already, but a large number of politicians have made or published statement harshly criticizing the decision. So this has in effect already successfully mobilized the opinion out of Greece and occupying the media space.

Plus, following this the social circles of Greece have already mobilized for a general strike starting tomorrow...

(the dumping of the state audio-visual apparatus is a direct write-off of more than 2500 full-time jobs on its own, without taking into account all the surrounding contractor & subcontractor network and the overall impact on the economy)

Dictators and juntas shut down broadcast stations and dismiss journalists. The EU (as opposed to the older, more sensible ECC) is not really working out.

To be fair,

it's the Greek government which took the decision.

Brussel, Berlin and Paris are probably cringing their teeth right now.

There's virtually no governments or countries or unions nowadays, just self-serving and corrupt Globalists.

It comes across as a calculated ploy by the Greek government (that may backfire). Turkey's decided to join in with the Arab world and they say Syria's conflict could feasibly ruin/cut off the ME oil supply to the rest of the world if it carries on escalating.

Why didn't Greece's establishment ignore the austerity policies demanded by the ECB/IMF? Not that the British establishment that have been any better.
