driving around nyc itself would be like attempted suicide
Re: Testing Chat Thread
You should move out here. We have a decent public transport system (unless you have a fuckton of doctors appointments like I do).
Re: Testing Chat Thread
Hey Oxy, how big can you go on a class B license in France? Because in the US you can drive this on a regular ol' license:
And hopefully not do something like this:

my main concern now is being able to afford a place to live while i hunt for a new job, but i've got enough socked away that i'm not too worried
Re: Testing Chat Thread
We have an upstairs apartment we'd be happy to rent out as long as you can stand the heat and like dogs (the backyard is shared). It's cool if you're not comfortable with that, tho.

- vehicles whose fully-loaded weight is inferior or equal to 3.5 metric tons and which can be used for the transportation of personnel or fret/merchandises
- vehicles able to support 9 seats or less (driver's seat included)
to vehicles of this category can be attached trailers :
- whose fully-loaded weight is inferior to 750 kilograms
- whose fully-loaded weight is superior to 750 kilograms, at the condition that it be inferior of equal in weight to the tractor vehicle, and that the fully-loaded weight of both together be inferior to 3.5 metric tons."
So basically if the whole shebang weight less than 3.5 metric tons fully loaded, it's legal to drive it with a B-License in France.
No.

I cannot believe anyone would actually argue that having an unloaded gun doesn't put you at a disadvantage in a fight compared to a loaded one.

I fully regret ever deciding to post in that thread.Flagg wrote:I cannot believe anyone would actually argue that having an unloaded gun doesn't put you at a disadvantage in a fight compared to a loaded one.
Re: Testing Chat Thread
I don't blame you. It's common sense, so of course no one there gets it.
Re: Testing Chat Thread
when you say "unloaded", do you mean "no ammo in the barrel ready to be shot", or "no ammo in the magazine at all" ?
No.
Re: Testing Chat Thread
Both, really. Though to be honest almost every situation in which you would need to pull a gun on someone who already has one pointed at you will result in you getting shot.Oxymoron wrote:when you say "unloaded", do you mean "no ammo in the barrel ready to be shot", or "no ammo in the magazine at all" ?

Listen to the man with a loaded gun pointed on your face
don't disobey the man with a loaded gun pointed on your face
don't piss off the man with a loaded gun pointed on your face

Re: Testing Chat Thread
yeah by the time someone else has drawn a gun you're pretty much fucked unless you've got enough balls to call his bluff
any other weapon besides a gun though you're good

Re: Testing Chat Thread
Yeah, and the time it takes for someone with a knife to attack is pretty quick, so if you have to load and chamber a round you're fucked.
