After her adventure in human-land, Princess Twilight start experimenting with trans-dimensional travels. Shit happen. 1st fic : she and the other elements of Harmony manage to repel an alien invasion, only for a mysterious third power to do the same thing to them as the G-man did to Freeman at the end of Half-life one.
Today, 2nd fic : the Elements are brought back in a changed Equestria. The Princesses have disappeared, only Cadanza remaining. She's playing the role of Dr Breen. Shining Armor plays the role of Barney, though it's more in a "secretly helping the Resistance" kind of way than what Barney did in HL2.
Just watched Major League Pong. Meta as all get up.

I'm not sure about
the "romance" part, though. I guess we'll see where it goes ?
People have asked, apparently he's not going to be in season 4 IIRC.

I'm of two minds. I can understand and respect people not liking romance among the Mane Six to start in and all (Spike and Rarity aside) but then, depending on how long this show goes for, well, the characters grow. So does the audience.
Anyway I really liked EG. It was pretty cool how Twilight's introductions to her friends resembled that of the pilot without being totally the same (except Fluttershy, but even then she didn't just happen to run into her so a bit difference, and her nervousness was rather justified). Nice parallels. Plus how they all clearly had prior relationships with each other, as was the case as the show went on, and once more it was Twilight who brought this group of them together. As well as, of course, everyone else. She sure has come a long way, hasn't she?

Actually, no they don't: 1080p would look pretty bad on a large cinema screen. The movies are delivered relatively uncompressed and in very high resolutions on specialised read-only hard drives.
I heard that they were selling blu-rays of it at comicon, that's probably where this rip is from.

I for one am glad that a favourite background character got even fleeting screen time...
...but then, I could spend all night taking caps of brief cameos.
If Celestia is principal and Luna vice principal, what would Cadance be? Guidance counselor?

Ha, I just rewatched the credits. With a muffin and everything!
And yeah, why not. She can also be Coach as well, since Cheerilee seemed to occupy multiple roles.
Any Octavia sighting?

I figure Shining Armor is a coach. Just not at that school because then it would have been too easy for Twilight. IIRC there is a Twilight in that world (they mention it) she's just...elsewhere.
Maybe Principal/Counselor Cadance, Shining Armor and Twilight Sparkle all are at Crystal High School?
I bet Shining Armor is a cop.

A cop, or a paramilitary armsman? The fanon wrings its hands!
