'you know, I have such respect for the work ethic of earth ponies'
oh dear
oh dear oh dear
even funnier now
oh sweet merciless Celestia, Rarity, stop
man AJ keeps living up to that Best Pony thing
while Twilight keeps just coming up to ponies and going tsk tsk tsk, Applejack just gets in there and gets shit done
so yeah that was an OK episode. The last few weeks have been fantastic, though (even the weird al one, which I expected was going to be intolerable, but turned out pretty great), so it's pretty weak in comparison

As Luna stood up, brushing herself off, she said, “So anyway, what’s the dealio with this asteroid?”
“Oh, that thing?” said Celestia, waving her hoof dismissively. “It’s nothing really. It’ll probably cause a mass extinction event or something. No biggie.”
Luna nodded. “Ah… cool. Been awhile since we’ve had one of those.” She slunk back under her covers. “Well, I’m going back to bed. Let me know how the whole asteroid thing plays out.”
Celestia gave her a thumbs up, or she would have had she had any thumbs. “Can do.”
Twilight Time was probably the flatest CMC episode ever. Props for at least acknowledge Twilight's Princess status should have changed things more though.

Awh, shit, I'm two episodes behind.
... Since when exactly does it feel for me like it's almost a chore to have to sit down just to watch an episode?
Time to ask myself some questions, maybe...

that just means that you have an actual life at last, lol
should I do spoilers? I think I will
anyway the last two episodes were pretty great (literally just watched them). This season has been the strongest overall so far, I think. I mean, shit, Filli Vanilli had an actual flashback to a previous episode and continuity and so on. Pinkie Pie trying out some kind of edgy ironic comedy (and it falling flat) was pretty hilarious. And oh dear, I'm sure it set the shippers off
I quite liked Twilight Time, but then I just love seeing Diamond Tiara (the most evil creature in all of Equestria) in action. She's such a bitch! Also her 'so I'll just get my butler to do it' was a pretty hilarious summation of the theft of labour upon which capitalism is built.

Worst thing is
I'm procrastinating on the thing I'm doing (1) to procrastinate from what I'm supposed to do in the first place (1)
(1): a worldbuilding exercise I'm a major contributor in
(2): re-reading all my courses for the exam coming up monday

All of SDN should be made to watch this.
Or should have been five years ago when it would have mattered.

yes indeed 'Soup. Odd that...
Fluttershy's big element episode with the plot coupon and eye shine is not about her re-affirming her virtue its classic sense but to learn you 'can be too kind' and how to put your hoof down/tough love. But I guess that is the standard fluttershy lesson.
