I've never heard of a hotel room without a fridge.
Even at a $12 per night... establishment.

So today I went to Walgreens to buy some deodorant
The line was like 50 people long and I decided to come back later
They frequently have long lines
And like half their cash registers unattended
This is in an economy with high employment
GLORIOUS CAPITALISM
That almost makes sense, though. I mean, I'm guessing high employment means enough jobs to go around people are less likely to work shitty minimum wage retail jobs?

It's a good thing I haven't gotten attached to Rochester yet, I'm not sure I like how empty this city is.
I'm thinking I didn't spend nearly enough time in Boston the last time I was there . . .

I thought you left the board?
Right now I'm poking around different cities to live in that aren't Denver. As much as I like New York it's just way too expensive, but Rochester is pretty close and cheap. But waaayyyy too empty.

I told you to move out here, but noone listens to Flagg even though he's always right and for some reason is talking in the third person.

Seattle's on the short list, but Boston is a bit higher on the list in terms of preference.

I'd heard from some family that there isn't much work in the Boston area, though that was a couple of years ago.

Maybe not in their specific industry, but the job boards seem to be pretty busy.

I'm only able to do it thanks to a decent 401k savings and no obligations tying me down.

I have two children at school age so I have no choice but to reside in the poorest capital city doing a job that tables poorly on the risk/reward
And even though I was in bed for the requisite amount of time in bed last night I feel like Edward Norton at work today AR-10 gas operated smei-automatic carbine etc etc

fuck, even the american communist party is useless
this colonial experiment with republicanism has clearly failed. It's OK, we'll be happy to take over & run things properly again

the cpusa seem to be one of those hilarious parties that after the fall of the soviet union kinda went "man... now what are we gonna do?"
they still seem to be advocating some sort of state capitalist scheme they call socialism that will magically turn into communism if only they get to be the capitalists for long enough

yea my impression of reading their website is they are more like a wannabe Democratic party caucus than a real communist party. seems like some of the local cpusa groups are different but the national thing isn't very encouraging
when i first looked at this i thought maybe i wasn't commie enough to be a card-carrying comrade of the party (a cccp if you will lolololololololol)
but now i think the party isn't commie enough for me
