This week I found out that the latitude where the Earth's circumference is half what it is at the equator is supposedly 60 degrees.

Funny, I'd have intuitively thought it would be 45 (halfway between equator and pole).

Spheres, how do they work???

The earth isn't a perfect sphere. It's more of an ellipsoid.

You're looking for the angle where the cosine is .5, which is 60 degrees. At 45 degrees, the cosine is .7071, so the radius is just over 7 tenths of what it is at the equator.

If Earth was like a diamond, you could just say "halfway up the surface means half the distance from the center", but spheres don't work that way.

No, that's when they forget to wear the magic underwear and don't spit on a black person.

So if this girl is alright, the question is can you marry her WITHOUT actually joining the church?

Because committing to a lady is one thing, but committing to tithe is another...

Such is possible in theory, but the marriage sealing ceremony in the temple is important to mormons... and both need to be members (in good standing!) to qualify.

though the eternal marriage thing is a bit loly as divorces still happen...

anywho tho her mother challenged me to win at othello next week. she says her daughter has been undefeated for too long. i'll bring my chess clock so if i lose a regular game i'll challenge her to a speed game. victory shall be mine!!!!!

nope

i'll do whatever the lord commands

unless that command is going to a dance

i'd rather be crucified

being crucified would be a great PR stunt. if i was to be executed, that'd be my preferred method. i read a thing earlier with even some pro-death penalty ppl being upset about a death by lethal injection that lasted like 20 minutes

imagine what their response would be as i hang on the cross for DAYS. PS turns out i'm kinda innocent.

i could abolish capital punishment!

but dances just aren't my thing.

I get the sense that you've somehow thought this through and not thought it through simultaneously.
aber dances just aren't my thing.
Ah, gotcha.
