I received a mass email from a student at the school accusing the SGA of incompetence and bullshit practices.
Dear Students of Southern Polytechnic State University,
We are asking for your support in holding our elected representatives of the Student Government Association (SGA) accountable for their actions. For months, we have witnessed a representative body that has worked in direct opposition to our interests and scuttled all accountability. They have voted to increase their own pay, cut the budgets of every other Student Organization except their own, all while demanding students to pay more in fees. This ongoing lack of transparency has damaged the trust in democracy and financial stability of the students at Southern Polytechnic State University. Detailed information on these and other violations can be found here.
We are now asking you, the students of SPSU, to lend us your voice. We are asking that you sign this petition to demand a representative government that listens to the Students. By signing this petition, we are demanding a full reevaluation of each elected representative and a new election. In addition, we seek a constitutional committee to form a new system that will allow us, the students, to determine the direction of our governing body.
Together, we will be the change we seek.

Quite frankly with the MAD genie out of the bottle we do need an effective nuclear arsenal. Everyone does, or nukes can be used on them without a 100% effective reprisal
Counting on international goodwill to protect us from thermonuclear annihilation is the height of stupidity. Good relations can sour, Navies can be destroyed, but until ABM is 100% effective, a nuclear arsenal is a last resort that insures no one will
ever invade us.
It's not an either or situation though. If we budgeted and taxed properly we could do both.

so this week i've had to deal with two security related things for w0rk
1) a guy was running an old version of WordPress on his site. got pwned.
2) a guy was using this thing called filepicker.io to connect to amazon s3. filepicker.io uses this thing called mongohq to store the data. mongohq got pwned, revealing filepicker.io's saved amazon secrets, thereby pwning the client's data on amazon.
oh yeah and in the news
3) the NSA. nuff said.
moral of the story: don't use third party shit. especially don't share password like stuff with third party shit. you'll eventually get pwned.

and I mean I figure there's two camps here right now: don't care or actually ahead of me anyway since they went with the comic instead of only seeing the show
