i did not win the position of SECS (SEX) FAC REP, no

indeed as i recall the party i was with became an increasingly uncomfortable circle-jerk as these things do

but i do not regret the experience

because my philosophy is "an experience that results in a nudish photoshoot is an experience worth having"

and i will forever be able to tell people that i ran for sex fac rep

(of course the downside is i have developed an unhealthy obsession with the appearance and continued maintenance of my chest but w/e)

i just watched a movie that had like every cliched line from the last 60 years all crammed into 100 minutes

like how many times do we have to hear "here's looking at you kid"? protip for filmmakers: that's a famous ass line. using it even once is a little..... old

and "we'll always have paris" christ that line is so old there's a tng episode with that name. lame.

"i think is the beginning of a beautiful friendship" like i didn't see that ending coming a mile away (actually i didn't, the filmmaker kinda threw me a curveball there, but i've heard that line before)

thank god it subverted the "play it again sam" trope

at least there was one original thought in that fucking movie

ATTN Wii owners: If you have the Wii component cables, do the games look less crappy? I want to play two of the old RE games but the GC connected to my HDTV is blurry and ugly.

so seriously while so much of that movie is already known to all through cultural osmosis and stuff I was still on the edge of my seat wondering what would happen; I didn't know the whole thing, just individual scenes, so like the actual story of it was genuinely... unspoiled

by the end with the beautiful friendship line I was like duh I knew that was how it was going to end

but not five minutes earlier I was like omg is this going to be a betrayal or a whole Sydney carton ordeal or.... what

good shit

I never had a problem with the way it looked on HDTVs, but you can't go in with high expectations.

Do you think he RE Archives Wii game will look different compared to popping in the GC discs?

Isn't Archives basically ported PS1 games? I doubt it's going to make a huge impact.

I swear to god Wii owners are fools. Why would you not use component cables to get the best quality the system has to offer?

This is the attitude that creates the problems. Why is it OK for Eulogy to assume that all cops are evil, but not OK for cops to assume that OWS is a bunch of granola eating hippies that have no connection with reality whatsoever (or worse, are dangerous anarchists who refuse to accept any kind of authority and are set to topple the power structures they hate so much)?

Because in Australia at least, it fucks your display for anything emulated. Don't know the exact details of why, but I assume it's a PAL/NTSC thing. Anyhow, you end up with a picture with no VHold. So what you can do is have two sets of cables plugged in and swap between them as needed or you can just not spend the extra 70 bucks or whatever the fuck Nintendo wants for their proprietary component cables and just play in REALLY SD.
