This is the attitude that creates the problems. Why is it OK for Eulogy to assume that all cops are evil, but not OK for cops to assume that OWS is a bunch of granola eating hippies that have no connection with reality whatsoever (or worse, are dangerous anarchists who refuse to accept any kind of authority and are set to topple the power structures they hate so much)?
Probably because he never said all the cops were like that? He just said that there are many stories of bad cops abusing protesters. I'm having trouble seeing how you could possibly go from the second to the first.
PS if that's your opinion of OWS you should talk to Los.
*shrug* Like any large group it's going to have a variety of different types of people. In general though, they seem to be pretty solid and I dig what they are trying to do.
What I "like" is on a number of website reading people say that the movement "petered out", when it's still in fact there and doing things and getting shit done ; the only thing having petered out being the whole media over-blowing the thing out of proportion.
The media has the attention span of a damned two year old. Though I'm pretty reluctant at this point to describe the US news agencies as anything but infotainment at this point.
Occupy has a lot of stupid people in it. But unlike police, I've never known any of them to spray a fire extinguisher into a teenager's mouth or pepper spray an 80 year old woman for being on the same street.
So is this fiscal cliff crap the same thing we had a couple years ago were people were screaming the government was out of money and wouldn't be able to pay the military unless WE DO SOMETHING NOW!?
Whenever I play a game, the biggest hurdle is determining what difficulty level to play with. Should I play very easy, easy, normal, or hard? First world problems.

I always default to normal out of laziness. If it's too hard on normal I'll return it; if it's fun and I get through the first playthrough I might crank it up to Hard.

I don't know if it relates to your example, but for me all I got from the news is 'this is a manufactured crisis'.
