Man I love the idea of tablets but I hate trying to type on them. And attaching an external keyboard feels like it's defeating the point.

At work everyone (except me) is issued an iPad with a case that is also a keyboard. So it goes on to protect the screen and comes off to act as a dock for when they have to type a bunch. The rest of the time they out the keyboard on the back and use it as an iPad.

They also get laptops that they mostly keep at home to work on stuff at home.

What are they using the tablets for ?

Am I wrong in assuming this is a way to share documents and save paper ?

we have a case keyboard like phant mentions on the way but gesture typing is pretty fantastic and easy as hell

but rabid it's also probably cause they're super easy to use and carry around

even rhea's classroom has ipads for the preschoolers

I type 80wpm on average. Any alternative on a tablet is just too slow. :|

Writing is something you should do at a desk, but think of all the documents and references you need, email, and all the moments between meetings and al the other shit the staff do (sitting at the airport/on the plane/in a car) where they could be productive. iPads are super easy to use, they're light, and they do enough to justify the cost. Also we are the richest province this side of Saudi Arabia so of course all the ministerial staff get iPads :v

You know the worst thing ?

We have a tablet manufacturer here in France. It produce pretty good stuff, and it cost less than Appl's products.

The government didn't even think to study the possibility of talking to them when they decided to give tablets to school kids and student, instead buying them iPads.

That's the kind of thing that makes people in the business go *smirk*

Does anyone know of a good costume shop online? None of the shots I find online are from up close, which seems worrying.
I remember that you're into card games; is there any crossover in your social circle with cosplayers? I'm not sure what timescales you're looking at but if so then you could look into that for having one made or borrowing one maybe.

do you ever think about why everyone constantly tells you you have stupid opinions

maybe it's because you have stupid opinions

Dude, I don't really care why you do it, you're still wrong. It's plain as day that its a shitty device to anybody with any technical experience whatsoever.

A billion people could tell me constantly that 2+2=5 and they'd still be constantly wrong.
