The school I;m at now (SPSU) and the one I'm transferring to (KSU) are consolidating to become KSU. I am happy about this because my teaching degree will be ever more valuable, but I feel for the MET and ME students. Why? KSU has no technical degrees like MET and ME, mechatronics engineering, etc. These degrees could become worthless.

These degrees aren't standardized / harmonized / recognized at the Federal level ?

They are, but if the school hasn't had them for long or obtained them through a merging, some employers may think something is up. At least this is what I think.

I motherfucking hate it when "photographers" make money when they produce shitty photographs. If you have been shooting for a year and can't even get exposure down, you do not need to be making money. All I hear is excuses from this fool, someone I've been trying to help on and off for seven months. "The light meter isn't always accurate," "I always think what the LCD screen on my camera shows is accurate," etc. If his clients knew how much he sucked and how much he relies on editing (he has admitted his editing "skills" can rescue a bad photo), they wouldn't pay him.

I look forward to teh day when he shoots a wedding and before he goes home to edit, the bride asks for a look. She'll see underexposed shit like this:

While moving last night, my mom's boyfriend and I got into a shouting match with expletives and insults that nearly resulted in me being physically harmed by him. Three adults had to hold him back while he tried to act on his threat. I could not call the cops, threatened or beaten alike, because I'd be arrested as well and that would ruin any chance of me teaching in the future.

Friends of mine offered to let me stay with them for a while and I may take them up on that offer.

I see. Not an unusual time for tempers to flare.

I don't know what it is exactly, but whenever I see Pastor Kerry Shook in a commercial for his church he really weirds me out.

The very concept of TV commercials for a church weirds me out.

Ohhh was it for the mormons? I love those, especially the way they awkwardly regionalise them.

No, it's for a mega church in The Woodlands. I'm sort of used to seeing commercials like that since they've had tele-evangelists since I was a kid.

There's a mega-church near me being run out of a converted sporting goods store. Now call me old-fashioned call me what you will, but that seems like a depressing atmosphere to go to church in.

I've never been in one like this, but that's not as bad as one that's located in a strip mall alongside the usual convenience store, pizza place and dry cleaners.

I'd like to propose a compromise to the US culture:

You will be allowed to say Merry Christmas, but only if we stop the creep of the holiday taking over the rest of the year. I'll even be generous and give you the whole month of December. So long as shit like Santa and reindeer stay in December, you don't have to say Happy Holidays. But if Christmas stuff starts showing up before Thanksgiving or, God forbid, Halloween, you have to call that decorated fir a Holiday Tree.

Jesus fuck, you jackasses. I get that I need to ask more questions, I'll cop to that but, at some point, you need to give me the fucking information without me having to ask in the first fucking place.

Especially when it's something where there's no way that I'll possibly know that I need to know it in order to ask the question in the first fucking place.

Why must independently published things in america be so expensive? Fifty Quid for to Get an order of the stick book and calender. And if the kickstarter is any indication there would be custom fees on top of that. Cursed lack of income.
