one thing I find interesting is that the single best moment the show had, I felt, was in season 2
when kirito uses illusion magic for the first time to "transform" into a monster he'd fought and killed in the last game, one who killed friends of his before his very eyes, to "kill" players in this new game, and he revels in it
it's too bad the show really dropped the ball with explorations of the effect of the experience on players such that scenes like that can be counted on, well, one finger, really. because I felt the way they DID play the setting (as opposed to a more MMOish way) was good in potential but they never explored that, either

I hate to be all 'well that was the point' but like
Kayaba Akihiko's whole motivation relates to this

It's very real. It's the hardest hour of television you're ever likely to watch.

I actually kind of am interested in doing so myself, since it has amazing direction and symbolism (at least I think; I'd wanna watch to pay more attention)
but my best friend died from cancer a couple years ago and all I ever got was a phone call about it, so I was feeling for dawn a bit too heavy and may have cried for like half an hour after the episode was over
so on the other hand I don't think I want to revisit it so clinically or anything too

hooray, self-styled anti capitalist anarchists glorifying violence, fucking everyone over except their own egos and helping the status quo stay in place

I wonder if we'll have Lee Harvey Oswald masks in three hundred years time like we have Guy Fawkes masks today

the jfk assassination was a false flag perpetuated by anarchists with the cooperating and active involvement of fidel castro, to frame the cia and federal reserve in an attempt to trick them into opportunistically seizing even more power
such that the masses would see the violence inherent in the system and rise up in glorious revolution with a young ron paul as their prophet
you'll never hear about this in the lamestream media
which means it has to be true

many people have pointed out the similarities between the kennedy administration and the reagan administration
what they don't know is the reason
it wasn't kennedy that was shot that day in dallas
it was an actor
actor ronald w. reagan
