Yeah. It's really making me wish I hadn't wasted all the time that I did. When I started at Macomb, it was anywhere from 1000-1200$ tuition depending on the number of credit hours and course fees, and that was when I was taking full semesters of four classes, and had my dad paying my way.
Unfortunatly, a combination of being unable to properly cope with my ADD, laziness, and indecisiveness about what I wanted to do, I couldn't just get shit done and get a degree. If I had, i'd have ended up with a much better life than the barely tolerable river of misery and shit i'm going to have to claw my way into at this point.

I find it odd that, despite the fact that I generally am in-tune and mostly aligned with the TEO CONSENSUS™*, this board is currently 1000% more interesting to me!
Also, whoever runs Dawkins' Facebook feed should be fired. Not enough cool bits about science and reason and way to much babbling about how religion sucks, though maybe that's just a natural outcome of such a page.

What? I thought that $1,200 or so for three five-credit courses at a community college was reasonable, since that's less than $4,500 in tuition a year (three quarters) and less than half of the cost of the cheaper of the two main state universities in my home state. Of course, it's also why I concluded getting anything other than an engineering degree would be a suicidal waste of time and money.

you're doing fine, you've set out some bait and i think he'll get a chance to bite. if it was me, i'd be talking up the "cry for help" angle and letting him know that there

potentially, he doesn't have to do this, but i am a cruel and hurtful person and in any case it would probably be too obvious. maybe ask him if he ever has flashbacks to when a black kid asked if he had change for a five or something else that implies he's almost mind-bogglingly racist.
