It's a combination of things, but it's like a switch flipped inside my head and it's kind of tripping me the fuck out. Most of what I have read I had pegged for bullshit and figured I wouldn't get any kind of different reaction than I usually do.

All I know is I turned on the gaze yesterday and the girl across the aisle from me on the train lit up like a Christmas tree. This kind of shit ain't normal for me.

man i don't really go for this sort of thing so i don't get it

There's hundreds of articles that explain it better than I can, but the gist is that making eye contact lets you figure out whether or not a girl is really into you and approachable before you make a move. If she sustains eye contact and smiles then that's pretty much a huge signal she's approachable and wants to talk to you, and you just set yourself apart from all the other guys in the room by showing you're not afraid to look her in the eyes. If you're nervous or fidgety about approaching her it's going to show up in your body language and how well you maintain eye contact when you're talking.

Doctors took a bunch of pretty pictures of my insides but still don't know what's wrong with me. Means I've got to go in for another battery of tests soon, and that some of them are worried there might be something more serious afoot.
Joy.
On the plus side Margaritas are delicious.

				Ugh...
My fear of inadequacy and a negative evaluation at work are playing hell on my stress levels.
Also, I had to take the day because I'm literally sick of it.
And the day has only just started...

Maybe it's less sunken eyes and more how far they want to stab things into them?
