Oh sorry, I'm bit calmer now and explain myself - I was taking the bus home from the bus station at the City of Bath, but my brain was on auto pilot after a long afternoon/evening (exacerbated by a cold) and I got on the wrong damn bus! Threw my evening out of whack.

Ah, gotcha.

I didn't know all that and was picturing a rather... sudsy bus ride.

Also I made the grave mistake of browsing the trainwreck politics section of SD.Net at the same time as waiting for the bus.

Day two of deer season, so far lots of tracks but no deer.

I think we're gonna buy a blind and a kerosene heater to hunt out of, the wind was brutal today.

If I owned a property like yours I'd build a few deer stands around the place

But mostly so I could DayZ LARP.

My contract at my current client has been extended to June 2015. On the one hand, some of my colleagues are cool and the commute is good. On the other, the project is shitballs and the stupid decisions are starting to become recursive.

But I get a new car so that's nice. It's bluer than the old one, which was black.

I could RP so many things at your place. One of them would include Mrs K constantly screaming 'CARL, STAY IN THE HOUSE!'

Yes, feeling crap is partially the body's mechanism warning you about your ailment and make you rest more, helping immune response and recovery, but it still sucks.

I hate school Xmas concerts.

Stop brushing up against me, I'm not that fucking fat.

Too much noise, too many people and it's too hot.

And the people who inexplicably record their child's bit on an tablet that they hold in the air.

Maybe at your kids ages that's not a problem but my son's still only in early primary school.

I'm glad that I don't have to deal with that. I've pretty much had it with Christmas in general. The only things I still tolerate about it at this point is spending time with my parents and taking the day off work.

And I personally reserve the right to be grumpy about it. Just about everything about the holiday over here in the States is disgusting. It's a shallow exercise in mindless consumerism with the occasional side of right-wing fundamentalist prosperity gospel bullshit. Seriously, you should have seen people lose their shit when last year the governor of the state where I live sent out invitations for a Tree Lighting Ceremony instead of a Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony. And I live in one of the most liberal states in the country.

I've made it my annual gift to myself to run away from christmas every year.

usually *on* christmas, cause that's when plane tickets are cheapest, but usually before. i fly away from home to hang out with my bestest best friend and his family, who are all jewish.

Yes, they really do eat chinese food on christmas.
