Nah, just large. I have a lot of responsibilities in my job, but I don't run the company.

americans are statistically the most productive (per person, not per hour) and most generous people in the world

i maintain that american-sized meal portions are the secret causal factor in this

We cheat* almost as badly as the UK and Germany for the first, and the second I've seen differently.

Here's a hint: Wall Street gets counted in the numbers, that's why American productivity went down during the crash and has come back since.

Actually the statistics I've seen suggest that French people are substantially more productive than American people

per hour, yes, but not per person (partly because the french work so few hours and there's a natural diminishing returns thing to that)

and even then i think that right now only norway and singapore actually top america

and being an oil-rich single-culture nation and modern totally urbanized city-state help with that

I'm not really sure that makes any sense as a statistic

Like if you say 'Americans are the most productive people in the world'

But the reality is that they're not really the most productive people????

the average american worker produces more wealth per year than workers from any other country

pretty basic as a statistic goes

tho year by year, exact gdp per capita fluctuates, so according to some statistics i'm seeing america is behind norway and singapore in that - still, being in the top 3 when the rest of the top ten combined don't add up to america's population is fairly impressive

and 'hong kong' shouldn't count why is that listed as its own country :colbert:

When the statistics look at charitable givings for Americans does it account for the fact that America has a small social safety net that is partially filled in through charities?

i don't know how you would possibly account for that other than in the most arbitrary fashion imaginable

so probably not

but since americans give more than twice as much as the next leading country

i imagine it would still reflect pretty well on them

Looking for trucks in the Auto Trader magazine. One of ours got written off in an accident recently so we need a replacement. The worst of it is I don't know what I should look for. I know engines, I know we want a Pete, 18 speed Eaton tranny, but I don't know what kinds of axles and riffs to look for or anything.

Thats because wages are so low that the wealth production appears higher

cite? according to all my research it has much more to do with the amount of hours americans put in and the high levels of educational attainment making training more efficient

And now my dad wants me to book a flight to Montreal for tomorrow to look for trucks out there. "Rent a car! Book a hotel room! Enjoy the sights!"

This is how I know he just saw the bank balance after I deposited a couple cheques yesterday. We're flush, for now, but I don't think we can afford to send me on sight-seeing tours on a whim.
