Haha. Indeed. I never really understood how to do it correctly. Professors gave me As for my papers, so I assumed I was doing okay.

Nothing brings out the classic Canadian racist like First Nations issues. It's 2014 but they are all drunken layabouts living off the dole, yes sir!

I heard they were given a hard time in Canada as well, but perhaps not as harshly as at the hands of the US Government (when indigenous fugitives like Sitting Bull were aimed at crossing into Canada and a US President like Thomas Jefferson would be tried like a Nazi war criminal if the US got occupied after losing a war).

Jefferson the rapist who enslaved his own children who were produced by rape and wrote a document declaring that all men were created equal? That Thomas Jefferson?

What does it say about a city when most of the people you meet outside past 19:30 either reeks of alcohol or can be seen downing beer cans?

That you shouldn't drive in it.

that you have a target-rich environment while you're driving
oxy: 'honest le officer, he jumped right out in front of me!'
policemen: *big shrug* 'Eh. Life, she is a bitch, no?' *passes cigarette through the window*
I may not have an accurate picture of life in France in my mind

Good thing I had my car left in the parking plot, then.

Well 'soup, he replied but didn't correct your impression of France. I guess that confirms it as absolute fact.

This fits with my experience of France.
I have 72 hours to rewrite a module because a new feature turned out to be completely incompatible with the hackjob another coder did. Meanwhile, two of our three development environments have died, the test server shoots itself in the head every night at five when it tries to import garbage data, and our very expensive team of Rockstar Expert Analysts have just discovered the existence of numbers that aren't positive, which the validation system handles by crashing ungracefully.
This is a multi-million dollar project. This is why we can't have nice things.

Attention dipshits! Laying the plates on the ground next to the station you were using does NOT constitute "racking your weights".
Fuck stains.

I'm like 90% sure some of our higher-level design 'specialists' have a daily major stroke or are pod people.

Just cut them off, dude. I have nothing to do with my entire mothers side of the family.

It wasn't hard for us since they started fighting over money before my grandmothers corpse was cold and then neglected my grandfather to death while refusing to send him out here to live with us so my mom, a nurse, could care for him. He'd still be alive if he'd been sent here. I'd kill them all if I thought I could get away with it and I'm not ashamed to say so.

They were living off his social security check, even though they had rental properties and a successful plumbing business. They would take all of these extravagant trips and shit on his dime. The only reason they didn't send him to us is fear of losing control of his checkbook. My mom even said flat out she didn't care about the money she just needed medical power of attorney and that was it. But they were bullying him and sending him to adult daycare and shit. Just rotten fucking "people".

Oh and even worse, when they forced him into moving in with them they had his two cats and dog put to sleep.

Sorry to hijack your vent Aaron, just shit I needed to say for my own sanity. What type of shit are the inlaws pulling? Or would you rather talk about it in the private forum since the blabbermouths are gone?

My wife has four sisters, since we've moved she's been disowned by two of them in massive drama bombs on Facebook. The first involved renewed implications that I've been abusing her and the kids and that moving is so I "can have Val all to myself" along with questioning our ability to pay the mortgage, afford the upkeep, etc. This all culminated in a 0300 PTSD fuelled meltdown for me in October.
The second one messaged Val last week to "get closure and say goodbye" because she was apparently never going to see us again. Note that we haven't seen her in five years, despite living ten minutes from Val's parents. We got more abuse allegations, found out that Val's Dad has been telling people I used to flip him the finger at the school or when I saw him on the bus, after I finally had enough in 2009 because he insulted Val at Thanksgiving dinner, he insulted her piercings and attacked her bisexuality. That resulted in an argument on his driveway at 2300. Her father is a known liar, racist, homophobe and emotionally abused all of them through their childhood, along with some pretty hurtful comments directed at our son. But Val should just get over it cause he won't change. Great advice Miss Social Worker.
Both of these could have been avoided had they been respectful and called, but they were snarky. Probably because this is the result they were looking for.
Both of these sisters have been Val's confidants in the past and its cone to light that they have been blabbing. And they both tried to use the same excuse, "we won't visit because your dogs are out of control." Funny, they've attended classes, graduated and no one who owns dogs is afraid of them? Oh, Suesse tried to bite your daughter? Thats very interesting, because she doesn't bite. Has never bitten. What does happen is she wants to lick you and winds up bumping you with the front of her teeth.

You have my sympathy. I hope you and val can finally extricate yourself from that caustic abuse.

For the first time in years I engaged a creationist. It was a mistake. Requests for evidence denied. Problems with Origin of Species means evolution is completely wrong. Pointing out the flaws in Creationism (two creation stories, earth coming before the sun), etc ignored.
