Yes they are. I always found that more funny than disgusting. My wife has a weaker stomach when it comes to poopy diapers, but when she first returned to work, she used to cry if he didn't have a dirty diaper for her to change during her lunch break. Changing diapers is just another reminder of your relationship with your child, I guess.

Makes good economic sense I guess.......

Yeah, that's how it's going to go. :smug:

I disagree, but I've always had a weak stomach for that particular set of sights and smells. One I inherited from my dad.

I still managed to do it for the little girl I mentioned, but it was a struggle. One with lots of mouth breathing.

Well, I've been fortunate not to have a weak stomach.
We've had two rescue dogs who spent their twilight years with us, and I had to clean up every poopy, piddle, pukey and splatter since my wife would throw up if she spent any time near it. I've had to clean up her vomit and blood when she was sick, and I watched the doctors from her womb untimely rip my son. I had to comfort my brother in the ER when his forearm was broken in such a way as to have a new joint because my mother couldn't deal with it.

How do you deal with these kinds of things?

Changing nappies(that's what we call them in the Queen's) is fine as long as you don't feed them any processed foods.

Blood doesn't bother me, nor piss. Puke may or may not bother me depending upon how fragrant it happens to be and whether I'm present for the actual act and whether any gets on me.

But poop? Poop can sometimes start me gagging before I can even brace myself for it.

poop used to bother me and I would hold my breath while doing the diapers and swallow a lot

Oh please. This sort of thing was our dinner conversation when I was a kid. Mom's a nurse and she'd talk about the gross stuff from labor and delivery and the OR while we ate. So it doesn't bother me.

Well... not to talk about it. Still can't handle poop all that well.

Once, as a kid, I had the misfortune to learn what a rotting echidna smells like

This is why smells don't bother me as an adult
(Except dead echidna)

I wonder what Smaug represents in this analogy

also why do characters in films always drop their weapons as soon as the baddies have a hostage, all that ever does is give the baddies more hostages. If the Dwarves weren't such racist, arrogant shitbags they could have tried negotiating with those trolls. Or alternatively they could use the Judge Dredd solution

http://youtube.com/watch?v=rzIoneyedBk
and also I'm sure Radagast and Saruman weren't in the hobbit.
blargh
this film has none of the charm of the Hobbit, and the story of the Hobbit is a poor fit for the mythic feel of The Lord of the Rings. The Hobbit is more folkloric than mythic. What a load of shite.

Wolf of Wall Street is an amazing movie and the best work Scorsese has done in a decade if not longer. This is hard R material. I'm not sure how it didn't get an NC-17 rating.

DiCaprio gives his best performance as a douchebag capitalist who would do anything to make as much money as possible.
