Ok i just saw episode 3. Now to go the dethroning page on tvtropes!
I though the answer was going to be getting the ponies to name people. only the real pinkie should know anyones name apart from the three on the flip chart.

So you know your days are running together when you get up in the morning later than usual because it's a day off, and you go turn on The Hub hoping to watch some Ponies.
Except there were no Ponies. And I was like "wtf a schedule change omghax!" So I opened my program guide to try and find out where they moved the Ponies. And only then when I saw that THU in the corner did I remember it was Thursday, not Saturday, so no Ponies.
And thus my Thanksgiving was ruined.
Well okay not really but I did honestly forget that today wasn't Saturday and got confused at why there was no new episode waiting for me.
Anyway I've never seen any harm in the Scootaloo is a chicken meme...well let me clarify: I'm sure people can take it to some weird and creepy places but I've not seen those so I count myself lucky.
Tyrant/Troll/Molestia is incredibly lame. 'Nuff said.
And 'Cupcakes' does not and will never exist.
But yeah. It's the Internet and other fandoms do some weird shit too so whatever. I just ignore the ones I don't like and move on. Not sure what the big deal over "omg bronies" is, honestly.

I'd say the problem is pretty straightforward when put into the following terms:
Every fandom has its obnoxious elements,
The MLP fandom has grown really big,
thus it is spread out on a very large portion of the internet,
thus the obnoxious elements of the fandom are far more visible to the people who are not part of it and don't care / don't like MLP,
thus MLP fans get a reputation for being particularly obnoxious.
It's simple statistics and observational biases.
Though my... field studies... seems to indicate that the average "Brony" could by most standard be considered brain-damaged.

Bronies are a lot more vocal to non-fans than most groups, in my experience. I'm guessing part of it might be that there's the whole appeal of being able to watch something meant for girls as a guy and not have to hide it at all twisting into being in people's faces with it, but you know how internet psychiatry works.

The reactions I get out of non-fans give a really big payoff for spamming ponies
don't underestimate the power of the troll side

So, finished watching the latest episode.
Pretty good episode, and I like how they handled the the morale of the story. Once again Sweetie Belle prove to be the most reasonable of the three CMC.
I hope we get callbacks in the future about "Bad Seed" (I didn't get here real name), and about the Manehattan branch of the CMC.
Also, pretty good song, though they reused the same sequence two more times than was welcome.
oh snap, I forgot that there was a new episode today

As a bully, she want to feel she hold power over her victims.
If she has no victims, she is powerless.
So, she follow the CMC.
Yes, yes it's sad. For the bullies. For the victims. For everyone.

also their plan was attempted murder?!
Well, that was pretty great, just like all the CMC episodes.
