Maybe it's just me but this sounds a bit like bragging.
I am the absolute *best* at modesty.
Fuck you, I'm like ten times more modest and humble than you are.
I'm over 9,000 times more humble than you. :smug:

Buying idolatry and burning incense to the great ladies corresponded with an incredible improvement in psychological health for me. Abandoning atheism for a devotion to an obscurantist sense of female divinity both served to comfort me in times of weakness and strengthen a sense of female empowerment. I see it more like coming out of an 18th century deist tradition except with influences of Schopenhaeur in how to approach it and based on Hinduism rather than Christianity. The result has been unambiguously positive for my psychological health, and certainly breaking from atheism and embracing this space for anti-rationality in my life was enormously empowering considering the incredibly misogynistic attitudes that, as were lurking below the surface and I admittedly ignored, ripped openly across the atheist community in the past few years.

I've come to the conviction that it's about the most unhealthy thing ever to become an atheist, because all you do is devote yourself to fanatically believing that you're going to die. It's quite different from actually just not believing in anything, the modern atheism is a rigid ideology that promotes depression by mandating you endlessly pronounce your absolute conviction in your own impending permanent demise.

Yeah, if you buy into all that. I don't know if there is a god or not, but if its as the bible describes then I want no part of that one.

It doesn't consume me or anything like that, it just is.

Pfft, what I buy into is that human life is a cosmic absurdity, and I'm no less or more absurd for what I think than anyone else on the planet. Everyone can be mocked for the sheer idiocy of their lives, from the trailer trash who waste every single gift of intelligence so that they might as well be animals, to the men like Dawkins who spend their entire lives devoted to ruining their own happiness and the happiness of others by demanding rigid adherence to an ideology of nothingness.

Unfortunately it's the most vocal atheists that give atheism a bad name.

Well that's a nice strawman you got going there.

Dawkins is his own strawman. I have more respect for Christopher Hitchens, who died as he lived: A drunken, womanizing British raconteur.

I've never read a single book by Dawkins. I guess this makes me a bad atheist or something?
