Stuff like ".net" and ".com" are controlled by US bound companies. And payment gateway processing, including paypal, visa & mastercard!, have demonstrated they are perfectly willing to cut someone off for daring to publish leaked US documents. It really isn't much of a jump to having any credit cards in your name being refused to be honored by payment gateways (meaning you can't use it online or offline, except possibly via ATM), and any domain name redirected elsewhere based on copyright infringement claims.Aaron wrote:Will that actually affect folks up here?

From THE BOOK OF PICARD 307:5 (note: season 3, episode 7, act 5)
We have good reason to mistrust
one another, Commander, but we
have better reasons to set our
differences aside. The question,
of course, is who will show
vulnerability first.

The answer is -- I will. I must

Arguably it's legal in the USA too! The case with the Spanish site involved rebroadcasting sports programs, not just linking.xon wrote:Arguably it's legal in the USA too!
