I missed like four eps in a row, so I just speed-watched them all and I think i've lost the plot. Hole-dude's girlfriend got a sex change, the green-haired love-interest chick got killed, and Kagura is Amata's clone or something?

This is getting too weird for me. I think i'll just stick with Gundam AGE for now.

So I saw the new Gundam Unicorn episode today.

I thought the OVA was going to avoid the novel's plot where everything that happened since the One Year War was secretly the Federation's fault, and they were the TRUE VILLAINStm all along.

Looks like I was wrong.

For all of Tomino's faults (like how he actively tried to sabotage the franchise ) at least he understood you can't wash away the blood on Zeon's hands

I think it was Bright cooperating with Neo-Zeon that pissed me off the most. He of all the people who should know what a wannabe-char is capable of. It seemed very out of character.

I've heard the novels try to dovetail into Hathaway's Flash so I don't know if they took more from that characterization or if there's some change to Bright that they're trying to lead up to.

Really I liked pretty much everything in the episode until the end. Bright's interaction with Banager and his thoughts on Gundam pilots, complete with obvious picture of Amuro, was done really well. I liked the Unicorn Vs. Banshee fight on the Garuda, Hell I even though the old captain dude's one man boarding action was pretty cool.

Then they got up to space and I found out Bright set up the General Revil to be slaughtered. That seems totally OOC to me. It's like everything went to shit in the last 5-10 minutes.

Then you got the sonic rainboom to push the ship into orbit
